Pink Flamingo
hey y'all. i was wondering, is "Pink Flamingo" a real BJ song? my mom has an old tour program from the "slippery" tour, and it has the first 3 albums listed. under slippery, the first song listed is Pink Flamingo. is this a typo, or is that a real song? is something like "edge of a broken heart" that didnt' make it? thanks.

"Pink Flamingo" is the title of the intro to "Let it Rock". I've heard it was used as the intro to shows on the SWW tour, before "Raise your hands"

Well I dont know why, but the term Pink Flamingo reminds me of Born To Be My Baby, maybe cuz that song's talking about people who dont really have alot, having to have dinner on a tv trey and all...and I dont know why but my mind associates normal middle or lower class people with Pink Flamingos standing in the front yard, I know it sounds silly but thats the way my mind works I guess...anyways, I wouldn't know, but now I'm curious what it is too...

Here's my question to the Q&A a while ago concerning Pink Flamingos:
Question: Hi guys, I love the work you're doing. I tune in to Q & A every day...three times. Here's my question: Why is the intro(the first 57 sec.)to "Let It Rock" called "Pink Flamingos"? It's listed as a seperate track on an early Japanese Slippery pressing, and I'm just curious. Thank you! asked by ROY on Monday, April 10, 2006 Answer: That's the name of the instrumental piece! It comes from some pink plastic flamingoes that were notoriously destroyed by the band members' upon their departure from the condo complex in which they lived while recording the album in Vancouver... answered by STAFF on Monday, April 10 , 2006 3:11 PM |
