Motley Crue...
Does anyone like them?
I like them. I thought the song they released in 2005, If I Die Tomorrow, is one of their best songs. I saw them on the Carnival Of Sins Tour that year as well. I would have loved to have seen them on the DR. Feelgood tour when Tommy Lee had the revolving drum kit. I also loved their book The Dirt. Did you read that? It's very interesting and entertaining.

ah i read the dirt, class book that....
i wanna go and see them in june |
I love the Crue! They're one of my favorite bands. I've been listening to them since I first listened to the Dr. Feelgood album.
ah i have dr feelgood... i feel so lucky
I thought i should like them, 80s rock and all that but jesus they are attrocious. Terrible terrible terrible, and not that good live from the gig that i saw last year on tv here. And they are more cheesey than Jovi, Leppard and Van Halen combined!

They have 2 good songs thats about it.

I like them. Dunno what else to say now, it's 6 in the morning over here...
They're pretty good yeah, good to rock out to, although they are a bit limited ... only having one guitarist who's not actually one of the better guitarists of the genre anyways, plus a singer who's far from the best as well ...
I do actually like some of their post Feelgood - stuff. I should get around to getting a studio album at some point. I'll hopefully go see 'em live at the Download Festival in June |

Vince's vocals have been horrible for the most part since the 2005 reunion, though. Even if he's not drunk out of his mind, he usually skips half of the words. |
They're okay in my book. I think they for sure are an overrated band. But they have some pretty good songs like Home Seet Home and Kickstart My Heart (great song to rock out to!!)
I don't mind their studio stuff, but I'll pass on any recent live recordings. Vince Neil can't sing anymore.
I love the Crue. They're simply an awesome fun-rock band. Just great. And Theater of Pain is to this day one of my all time favorite albums by any band. Just great.
Meh, I have the two disc greatest hits. Their good for a moment, but there are times where I just can't stand em.
And I hate the way Vince skips his words and runs out of breath like a fat lazy bastard. It was like having Jon Lovitz on stage instead of a rockstar. not that I think every rockstar should be skinny because meatloaf kicks ass but Vince just sucks. |
Vince can't sing anymore, thats a fact. I think the best person in the whole band is Nikki, he's also my favorite member.
Nikki "the best person"? I like his songwriting, but a compulsive liar, drug abuser and horrible bass player is hardly "the best person", no matter how exactly that's determined. He can be your favourite, but "the best person"?
I like them. Granted they are not very musical and Vince isn't the greatest singer in rock n roll by any scretch of imagination but the songs are great. Mick is probably the second greatest riff writer after Edward Van Halen. The Carnival Of Sins tour was great, I went twice, and I attended the show that became the DVD. So if you buy that DVD, you can hear me singing Shout At The Devil :)
The debut, Shout At The Devil, Dr Feelgood and New Tattoo are all great. GGG has some great tracks and some fillers. Generation Swine is atrocious. Songs from the compilation albums (If I Die Tomorrow, Bitter Pill, Sick Love Song) are all great. |
I'll be seeing them at download so i'll decide then
Love 'em! I saw them live.. all I can say is wow!
Dr. Feelgood and s/t I love to death. Haven't really done anything since s/t, New Tattoo was an okay disc. I've heard they're working on a new disc with Bob Rock for a 2008 release, that should be awesome.
I heard the Crue had a new album coming out sometime in July. In a few interviews with Nikki Sixx, he stated they were working on new material, but with Lee being in Rockstar Supernova, that didn't work out well.
Was a big fan until I saw them last year and Nikki Sixx makes a comment during the show, "Everyone get off your asses, what do you think this is, a Bon Jovi show?"
Grow up already Nikki. Not to mention the fact that the energy at a Bon Jovi concert isn't even on the same playing field as the energy at a Motley Crue concert. Crue shows people go nuts for the first 2 songs, then die out. |
What the hell. Thats just sick. I still love Nikki Sixx though.

LMFAO! At the comment above. I just bought two more of the Crue's cds. I bought Motley Crue and Supersonic and Demonic Relics. I must say, these are two really good albums.
Motley Crue - s/t is unreal, too bad the crue felt the pressure and fired Corabi when they had completed the second disc with him. Generation Swine sucked azz!
I used to love them back in the 80ies,still think the first 5 albums are great.Totally lost interest during the whole 90ies but then I saw Nikki with BOD live in 2004 and that kinda woke me up again and started to listem to them more..dont really like the material after Dr.Feelgood but those old songs are still kicking ass and they were great live 2005,exited to see them in june again!
They're best stuff is in the first five albums. I also own the Carnival of Sins dvd, I must say, that had to be a great concert.
Mick mars is just great, just listen to the song "Bittersweet".
I just bought Too Fast For Love. This album is amazing. I'm going to buy Girls, Girls, Girls today if I can find it, its pretty rare. Oh, and have you guys seen the incident? The one where Nikki Sixx tells the crowd to beat up the body guard? If I find the youtube link, I'll post it.
Girls Girls Girls is just okay, Shout and Feelgood are a lot better IMO.
I have Shout. Its my favorite album so far. Ten Seconds to Love is my favorite Crue song. Dr. Feelgood was the first Crue album I bought.
Alright, then go ahead. It's an okay record, just not as good as the other two I mentioned.
I bought Girls, Girls, Girls today. I've been listening to it over and over, its reallly good.
Love the Crüe. Been listening to them ALOT recently. Too Fast For Love, Shout AT The Devil and Dr Feelgood are tops. Theatre Of Pain is ok, and so is Girls Girls Girls, although the latter is 60% filler IMO. I love the self titled album with John Corabi. Had it in my car today. Truely a great rock/metal album that would do really well today. I actually really like Generation Swine aswell, though it did take me a good few listens to really get into it. I usually like it when an 80's band does something alot more diverse and experimental in the 90's, like Def Leppard and Skid Row, and ironically, the fact that these albums flopped back then made me wana listen to them even more. I suppose mainly cause after a while you get sick of the "hits" that you hear one time too many. New Tattoo is also great even though the band went WAY back on themselves trying to sound like 80's Crüe, but it's still awesome and the band have never sounded better IMO.
And they're awesome live! |
Like 'em? They are some sort of sacriligious for a genre and my teenagehood. I used to have the hots for Nikki Sixx :D
Nowadays? Couldn't care less. |
I just picked up Nikki Sixx's new cd. Its very good.
the songs on sixx am have really surprised me.
