Richie Sambora ha pasado uno de los peores años de su carera musical. Ha sufrido como persona y como músico como nunca lo había hecho. Crushmagazine te descubre las razones.

Hace unos meses dedicamos a Richie Sambora el artículo “Richie Sambora, Dr Jekill and Mr. Hyde” haciendo una retrospectiva de cómo empezó la gira el guitarrista de New Jersey y cómo la acabó, mostrando, de algún modo, su empeoramiento musical fruto, en gran parte, por la fisura en su brazó izquierdo que se hizo a principios de año y, sobretodo, en su descuido personal, en esta ocasión, achacado a la traumática separación de su mujer Heather Locklear.
Hace unas semanas, nos alegró ver cómo Mr. Sambo había recuperado parte de esa figura que había perdido durante la gira y este tono musical que ya los fans daban por perdido. Por ello, le dedicamos el artículo “Bienvenido Mr. Sambo”.

Pues bien, durante el transcurso de esta semana y gracias a Jon Bon Jovi, hemos sabido que el padre de Richie lleva sufriendo desde hace más o menos un año un cáncer de pulmón de grado 4 y que su empeoramiento dependerá en gran medida del desarrollo de la enfermedad en las próximas semanas o meses. La banda se enteró de la fatal noticia horas antes del concierto en Hull, concierto que cerraba la gira y criticado de forma evidente por los fans que asistieron ya que no sólo fue uno de los más cortos de la gira sino que la banda no demostró nada de feeling en el escenario. Meses después sabemos el motivo. La enfermedad de Adam Sambora evoluciona de tal forma que en los últimos CTM Awards la banda renunció estar sentados con el resto de invitados y decidieron esperar detrás del escenario su turno a la vez que esperaban noticias desde el otro lado del teléfono. Tras la gala, volaron inmediatamente a Florida para que Richie estuviera cerca de su padre en estos difíciles momentos. Además, se da la ingrata circunstancia que la madre de Denise Richards también atraviesa por un cáncer, con lo cual, el nerviosismo y la preocupación se duplica en esta ocasión. No es ningún disparate pensar que de la evolución del padre de Sambora dependan algunos de los conciertos confirmados para los próximos meses.

Por otro lado, fuentes cercanas a la banda, nos han descubierto que Sambora pasó gran parte de la gira “hundido” por la separación con Heather Locklear y, sobretodo, aterrado por la resolución de la custodia de su hija Ava a la que Sambora ama con locura y desea que viva con él. Esta situación de ansiedad provocó que durante gran parte de la gira estuviera tomando antidepresivos que, junto a los excesos y la medicación para apaciguar el dolor derivado de la fisura en su brazo provocaran que se engordará de forma espectacular. Sin duda, de no ser por Bobby Bandiera, es muy probable que la gira se hubiera suspendido.

Todo se ha liado para el guitarrista de Bon Jovi que parecía vivir como una estrella del rock al lado de su mujer y su hija. Todo se derrumbó y luego no hizo más que emporar: el accidente y la fisura en el brazo, los antidepresivos, los excesos y el cáncer de su padre. En estos momentos clave es cuando una estrella demuestra de qué pasta está hecha. Sólo esperamos y rezamos por Adam Sambora y por que, el día que falte, Richie vuelva a ser el de antes y no vuelva a caer. Fuerza Mr. Sambo.

It's from Crushmagazine and it says nothing new, just a review of Richie's awful year, that's all. I don't have the time to translate it word for word and , as I say, it's nothing new.

It also says that thanks to Bobby Bandiera the tour wasn't canceled.

you know if you search crushmagazine on yahoo, it has an option to translate the whole website. thats what i do any time i wanna go on cm.com

I don't believe too much that is on that site.
To start with it says that Richie flew to Florida to be with his father, but he was in a New York hospital, so it's inaccurate to say the least!
