Why are you a fan?
 

I was sitting on the bus today on the way from work, listening to HANDY and I started thinking about this. Would be interesting to hear your takes on this.

Why are you a Bon Jovi fan?

I'm a fan because of the voice, of the sound, of the music, of the songs.

In a word (or seven): "The band they play my favourite songs"

...because of Wanted Dead Or Alive. Nobody has ever before or after created such musical perfection. It's pure genius.

because this band is very charismatic .. was and still is ... their songs are very talking to me and I just LOVE how they sound and act LIVE ..Bon Jovi is IMHO the best live band "alive" .. a jovi show is magic compare to others ... and they have this SOMETHING you cannot point out ... ..that IT factor

Because I like the songs. Simple as that.

I saw them years ago playing Always live at Niagra Falls on the Beat Box one Sunday morning. That was the moment.

Great Question.

I've always had to answer this to 'non believers'.

Because each member is outstanding on their own instrument.
Because of their ability to produce something special live.
Because of the chemistry between Jon and Richie; songwriting.
Because of the chemistry between Jon and Richie; onstage.
Because of the harmonies they produce, they are outstanding.
Because of Jon's ability to make that person in the 89th row think he's talking to them.
Because of Richie's and Dave's vocal range.
Because of Dave's ability to sing those parts of the harmonies no one else would even dream of (live).
Because of their stage presence.
Because I never get bored of their songs.

The music they write, they way they are live, how they sound!
Everything is just great about Bon Jovi really so thats why i am a fan

I doubt there are many who would answer with anything different than 'I like their music' Sure there may be the backstage type fans we joke about who are fans of Jons arse more than of the music, but I'd imagine that the majority of fans 'follow' this band, or any band really, because they enjoy listening to their music. That's why I'm a fan.

I like listening to their music - it makes me happy. Their live show is one of the best in the business. I look forward to new tours and I really enjoy the live shows.

I remember being in High School in 1987 and all the girls loved the band and because of that, I decided to hate them. I went away with a few friends when I finished school in 1989 and my mate had a copy of New Jersey and we listened to it a fair bit. I remember being moved by Blood on Blood, particuarly as my mate's name was Danny and he, another friend and I were just like the guys in the song. I really started appreciating the band after that. I'm still a fan for 3 main reasons:
1 - Their concerts are truly amazing experience
2 - Their music always seems to reflect a stage of my life where I'm currently at.
3 - Whilst they've never met me, these guys are my friends. Sounds strange I know, but I'm sure most of you know what I mean.
