Cranking out records!

Ey,

It really seems like BJ's current record deal is about putting out 10 albums in 10 years. The band won't admit it, but it really seems like. Ain't that great; then we've got 3 more to go after Lost Highway!

So far, they're on schedule:

2000 Crush
2001 One Wild Night
2002 Bounce
2003 This left feels right
2004 1.000.000 Bon Jovi fans can't be wrong
2006 Have a nice day
2007 Lost Highway
2007 Rumours about another Greatest Hits cd (they can skip this one, I'd say)
2008 ......................
2009 ......................

You're forgetting the Tokyo Road album from 2001. It was only released in Japan, but presumably still counts as an album.

Yeah you forgot Tokyo Road, and Have A Nice Day came out in 05.

Yeah, and judging based on what we've heard off of Lost Highway so far, the schedule sure doesn't help the creativity. Anyway:

2005 HAND
2006 HAND Wal Mart tour cd
2007 Lost Highway
2008 Best Of
2009 New Studio album
2010 another copeout - new live dvd, album, accoustic disc, remix album, whatever...

That's just my prediction.

And now, all of the sudden, it DOES count as a album. But when it is put in a compilation list they've released then it does NOT count as a album....

That would kinda suggest that their current record deal was signed just prior to Crush ... I have no idea if it was or not, but if it wasn't, that kinda throws off that theory

Also, IMO no band in their right mind would sign a contract obligating them to do 10 albums in 10 years ... they have no idea what might happen in those 10 years that'll hold them up

What would be pretty good though is if they're cranking out albums so they can go sign with a different label :D That'd make me happy

I really don't think theyll release another album in 2008, they haven't released two albums of entirely new material in two subsequent years since 1985-1986. 2009 is possible, but I still think that plan may have changed due to the Lost Highway project getting bigger than they at first anticipated. I reckons (or maybe it's just wishful thinking) that they'll release the Greatest Hits at the end of this year, then possibly tour it, then take a break. Of course, I might be wrong and they might have a new album out in '09/'10

I remember reading that HAND was the final album on their previous record contract. They did sign a new contract for 6 albums if I recall correctly. I'm sure a search of this site will clarify things.

EP's don't count as far as I'm aware.
