Last night...
American Idol was shown here in the UK last night.....brilliant!
I haven't got a PC at home, so have to rely on the one at work to get all to news etc. I've only heard snippets of 'Make a Memory' a few times. Last night was the first time I've seen/heard it properly. The emotion, feeling, vocals, beat, sound - everything was brilliant! It took my breath away. Unfortunately, it probably won't be a hit, especially in the Uk. We just have crap in our charts. I think this will be a favourite among us! Last night just made me look forward to the coming months even more! One thing that annoyed my girlfriend, was the continued use of 'him' and 'he' when talking about Bon Jovi - even the TV listings had "...and Jon Bon Jovi performs his new single." She's only been involved with Bon Jovi for the last couple of years since we got together, and she can't believe how much people think there's only Jon! I've been Bon Jovi daft for about 20 years now, and I've explained to her that this is the kind of thing that happens every time they are on the TV! I think it's just something she'll have to live with! Anyway, just had to share how much I enjoyed the programme last night (even that strange 'beat box' version of Bad Name!). |
I saved it on my digibox to watch today to get me through the ironing! Sounds great I can't wait to see it. :D

As it was just Jon himself and Dave on the first show, thats probably why alot of people just referred to Jon.
It was a good performance, but it will probably get better the more they rehearse it i think. Maybe live on tour they can extend the outro with all the ''oooohs'' and stick another solo in there or something! andi |
Well I have watched it! I LOVED Make a Memory. I had heard bits of it before and wasn't sure but with the live thing going on it had lots of feeling - and I love a song where I can really listen to that wonderful voice!!

Just how embarrassing was Cat Deeley? She is so irritating and comes across as really immature. I really don't know why she's on the show.
And what was the point of asking Jon questions about stuff he done 10 years ago? Apart from that I enjoyed the show and Jon came across really well. |
Cat has interviewed Jon a few times over the yrs , she is a big fan of Bon Jovi. Sometimes the interviews have gone well others she can be a bit silly.
I wont get to see it until tomorrow ITV at about 12.30. I was surprised by the tv listings saying JBJ sings his new song, thought that was awful to write that. Dawn |
there was no way i was staying in on friday to watch it but im watching the re-run on itv just now.
wanted and blaze of glory was bad. blaze was REALLY bad. the guys voices were just not suited to those tunes. the dude who did the beatbox version of yglabn was actually really good when he started singing properly and the drummer was a machine. the bird who did this aint a love song absolutely killed. best on the show by a fair distance. the girl who did hand was good too but a bit ropey on some parts in the middle i didn't see the chick doing livin on a prayer but the clips they played later just seemed kinda meh... |
I htought Cats interview was ok, that was quiet calm for her.
Jon looked really tired during the interview, I didnt know he called his english pub the Shoe Inn. Wonder if USA version got to see the interview ? Dawn |
