Venue Changes??

Hey there everyone.

Have any of you bought tickets to a concert and then they changed the venue where the concert was being held at after you already got tickets??

The only reason I ask is that the Bon Jovi concert that's in Puerto Rico on June 8th has changed venues from the Hiram Bithorn Stadium to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico. A somewhat smaller place (18,000) and it's indoors. I can't go to the venue until monday, cause that's the only place where they exchange the tickets.

What has been your experience??
Have they screwed you over and put you farther away, have they accomodated people in what where going to be your seats??
Or was everything ok??

This is the first time I've had this happen to me, everytima I've gone to a concert it's never changed venue.

The good news is that now it will be a Bon Jovi show and not a sorry excuse for a festival.

It happened in Germany in 2003. The venue Neumunster was changed to a much smaller indoor arena in Kiel.
But not even this place was sold out.
But the only tickets they sold where general admission. So not the same situation I guess.

Javier I read on backstage that the change was kinda messy to say the least because it seems that it is first come first served so if you had a 4th row tickets and dont go to the venue fast enough then you'll get 20th row ... :?

I was In Kiel in 2003 the situation was different as all was GA tickets so we didn't even change our tickets (and what a great show we had !!!)

Yeah, that's the way it seems. And they promised that we will get equal or better seats, but that's a lie.
It was changed from one day to the next, The venue is a 3 hour drive for me so I can't just jump on my car whenever they damn well please to go there. So it will have to be monday for me, and it scares me because the change sterted on friday and there where a LOT of angry people under the rain.

Shit Puerto Rico sucks in this things.

Javier on backstage there was that poster who was really mad (and I really understood why) saying she (he) got something like a 20th row as she had way better ticket before the change but couldn't be at the venue immediately and other ppl who had 30th row at a cheapest price (coz it seem the ticket price have been changed too at one point) then ended up being 4th row because that person was there first for the ticket change

this is really unfair ... I am speechless (not really) they are doing that

Yes we can, greedynes just keeps gettin in the way of it.

The show was half way selling out, plus the size really isn't that much of a difference, between the 23,000 of the Hiram Bithorn Stadium and the 18,000 of the Coliseum.
