O2 - The countdown begins...

So, the panic begins!

We are now in the month of June, and I start worrying when I get home from work and the tickets for the O2 show aren't delivered yet.
I know I shouldn't worry, Ticketmaster has already sent an email regarding tickets. Don't worry!
But until I've got those tickets tucked away safely, I always seem to let myself have doubts....

The tickets I got for the O2 are on the top tier, right at the end. If you check the seating plan for the O2, it looks as though we'll be BEHIND the stage!
So now I'm starting to worry about what kind of view I'll have. I know the O2 boasts "clear views from every seat", but guess what....I'm starting to worry!

Following last years devastating news regarding Wembley, I thought I'd check Google for images of the completed O2 stage, arena etc, I can't seem to find any photos, just artists impressions.
Guess what.....I'm starting to worry!

I'm like this for every show though!

You sir, are what is known as 'a big girl's blouse'! :D

Only joking ;)

Seriously, this is the way it ALWAYS is with TM. They never issue the tickets earlier than ten days before an event and, when I actually bought mine, I got an email notification saying that they could actually be delivered anytime up until two days(!!!) before the event. Don't worry about it. They'll probably be dispatched in the next week or so.

Im also at the top to the side of the stage. On the plan it does indeed look like you are behind the stage. It should be ok though, they were one of the more expensive tickets.

Also, any word on support anyone?

If you go to the official O2 Dome web site you can take a virtual tour inside :)

...got an e-mail about parking for those parking at the dome. It was to open at 6pm but is now 10am. :)

Ticketmaster now says "AEG Live presents Bon Jovi plus Special Guests". Any idea who these guests could be? LeAnn Rimes? Big & Rich? Or maybe they'll give nostalgia a go and bring Bob Geldof on again?

I seriously hope they're not just talking about the support acts. Although since it's a one-off gig I assume they'll be pretty good as well.

Also, if you take a look at the artist's impression on the O2 website, IMO it looks bigger than I thought. Plus if you're on the main floor you can kinda tell how far back you are. And you don't have to worry Chris79, the stage comes out pretty far so even the side seats will se everything.

Bad news, tho, is that the arena floor could have been all standing - the Snow Patrol gig is, as is Justin Timberlake. It seems that Bon Jovi (and the Stones as well) are gonna be all-seated because O2 think "well, the band is old, so the fans must be old, so they'll be wanting to sit down for the gig". :(

special guests = any old support.

^Agree with Jim.

Our MK 2001 tix had "BJ plus special guests" who turned out to be Matchbox 20 - not so special seeing as they had been at every other UK gig that tour and had been confirmed well in advance and could have been named on the ticket.

As for the seating arrangements, I'd say the band probably opted for it to be honest. They've always been quite vocal about how worried they get playing European shows because everybody is packed into such a small space as opposed to the 'safer' US shows where it is a legal requirement that all fans have seating provided. If they were offered the choice, I'm sure they would have gone with the seating.

But yeah, IT SUCKS! :(

Could also be for insurance premiums - I'm sure the insurance for standing shows is much higher than for seated ones.

I don't like seated shows :(
