Rehab
what s the big deal with the whole rehab thing?
richie is an alcoholic. period. he ll drink till he dies. jon likewise. dave, tico......all these guys will be alcoholics. not like the ones you see in the street but as rock stars with mega bucks and mega time on their hands they ll all be dependant on drink to a certain extent. as for richie being in rehab? it must be more that drink... depression....perscribed drugs....coca?..... who knows....i just dont think its something to worry about. look at the stones! |
Wow, how insightful
I mean, just look at the claim "All rock stars must be alcoholics" .... thats logic and a half right there! And aside from that ... are you actually trying to make a point? I can't seem to see one |

i just dont see what the big deal is. who cares if he takes a drink? he s an alcoholic. he ll drink till he dies. thats my point. rehab is for weak people. if you want to stop drinkin then you can do it of your own back! believe me i know |
I don't think Tico has drank in years.

God, everytime an event like this happens, everyone throws in their two cents like they've lived with the 5 members of the band since the day they released the first album.
We DON'T know everything, we SHOULDN'T know everything and everything we think is real may not be and vice versa. Who cares!! I think all we can do at this stage is hope for the best and enjoy the music, it's really none of our business other than that. |
I just love all these people who are like "I kicked an addiction / know someone who kicked an addiction, therefore everyone must be able to do it!"
Again, good quality logic there Who cares if he takes a drink? Well, no one cares if he takes the occasional drink; the real question is "who cares if his drinking problems cause both a) his inability to contribute to the band, and b) severe health problems?" And the answer to that would be ... a lot of people. Friends, family fans all included He's an alcoholic, he'll drink til he dies? Way to stereotype. You alluded to it being possible to beat an addiction, and assuming you're referring to yourself ... you don't appear to be dead Rehab is for weak people? Yeah, damn right! And I tell you what, so are shoes, we should all walk around barefoot and take the pain to our feet LIKE MEN!! And buying your food from a shop, thats for the weak too, we should all hunt it ourselves!!! |

And aside from that ... are you actually trying to make a point? I can't seem to see one[/QUOTE] That's what I wanted to know. |

your brain must have gone through terrible pain while you made up this post.
congratulations! |
That is just about the most ignorant (uninformed) post I've read on this board--and that is saying something.
If a person could stop on their own, it's not an addiction. Rehab is not the easy way out. Drinking casually, even getting drunk on occassion does not make one an alcoholic. Quote:
