people are lazy due to poor grammar or text talk ? What do you call swearing then , an excuse to try and explain how the person feels by using a swear word , I call that laziness.

Regarding swearing in context , I was referring to the context as in the meaning of the word, the f word is never used in true context on this board !

As to Ice saying that swearing is in the media, it is not in daily newspapers or in the general media.

As to the others making comments that there are no bad words just bad intentions. Will you teach your children to swear when they can first speak encouraging them to swear at their teachers in a nice manner because no words have a bad meaning behind them ? F word used in any context would never be a 'nice word ' coming from a 4 yrs olds mouth .

Why is what you call a 'swear' word any different to any other word? It isn't an abbreviation, it isn't sloppy, it's just a synonym. Just because the word somehow 'offends' you doesn't mean it is lazy. Writing crap txt speak is lazy, especially when a person has a full keyboard of letters to work with.

Just as an example to show how stupid it is to be offended by a mere word -

Just a few examples. You might not like it or think I'm wrong, but it's a fact. People who use txt speak end up worse than those who can and will spell correctly.

Oh no, naughty words! I've gone blind! You should be banned for using those arrangements of letters! You are somehow a terrible person for using those very specific words!

LOL, I've just now noticed that instead of writing LITTLE I wrote LOTTLE.

And I've just now noticed that Lottle is a funny word so I'm not gonna even edit it.

Let's just make up some new words :D

It's definately not the same thing. First of all I dont think the original poster wrote a post with spelling/errors on purpose. I think she/he was just excited and enthusiastic while writing it, so she forgot to write a "userfriendly" post. You do know how ppl gets when they're enthusiastic about something right?

Secondly I still dont see the logic in how can you justify "attacking" a person just because of such simple errors. Calling people dumb cause they, in a hurry, doesnt consider other people...is simply a hit below the waist. Yes, you write that "you deserve to be told about it". Well tell her/him in a private message instead of ruining the thread! (how many times should i repeat myself before you realize you took part in ruining the thread?)

I disagree. Its all about education really. You can easily be a native-english person and have problems witing/expressing yourself. Would you automatically call that group of ppl lame, just because they wanted to take part of a debate forum? No THATS when common courtesy suits perfectly...being nice instead of talking down to them. :)
