Poor Track 10 :(
 

With all these versus threads popping up, it's made me realise just how dire the tenth tracks on most of the albums have been. I mean let's look:

Bon Jovi- IT DOES NOT EVEN EXIST!
7800 Degrees Fahrenheit- Secret Dreams
Slippery When Wet- Wild In The Streets
New Jersey- I'll Be There For You
Keep The Faith- I Want You
These Days- Something To Believe In
Crush- She's A Mystery
Bounce- You Had Me From Hello
Have A Nice Day- Complicated
Lost Highway- The Last Night

Three of those songs (WITS, IBTFY, STBI) are likable. Three out of ten (or nine I guess... thanks Bon Jovi).

The 2000s Track 10s in particular have been particularly dire.

With the entry into double digit track numbers seems to inevitably come bland filler.

I love Wild In The Streets, I'll Be There For You, and Something to Believe In, but other than that...
I actually like She's A Mystery, and sort of enjoy Had Me From Hello, but hey are filler.

Secret Dreams - It's OK. Could've been great though.
Wild In The Streets - Awesome song.
I'll Be There For You - Again awesome.
I Want You - meh kill me now.
Something To Believe In - Awesome yet again.
She's A Mystery - It's erm OK.
You Had Me From Hello - Again, it's OK-ish.
Complicated - Ewwww.
The Last Night - I really like this track at the moment.

So I don't think the track 10's are that bad really.

Secret Dreams - Crap.
Wild In The Streets - Awesome.
I'll Be There For You - Classic
I Want You - Pretty much the gayest song they've ever done.
Something To Believe In - Good.
She's A Mystery - Crap.
You Had Me From Hello Again - Crap.
Complicated - Good.
The Last Night - Like a few others on LH, I just don't know what I think about this one.

It's all down to personal preference but the only track I don't like out of those is Secret Dreams.

I actually think all of them are awesome, except She's a Mystery and You Had Me From Hello/Complicated, which I've never heard.

Secret Dreams - OK, not my favourite from 7800. Shouldn't have been the finisher to the album, which was great otherwise. BAD
Wild in the Streets - Brilliant. GOOD
IBTFY - Again brilliant, still puzzles me why this was in the second half of the album. GOOD
I Want You - By far the worst song on KTF. Not awful, just average compared to so many other classics. BAD
STBI - Great song, not my fave on TD but one of the better songs on TD's second half. GOOD
She's a Mystery - My all-time least favourite Bon Jovi song. Boring and unremarkable. BAD
You Had Me From Hello - I actually like this one more than Love Me Back to Life. I think it's a good song to chill to. GOOD
Complicated - Great rocker, was excellent when they performed it live. GOOD
The Last Night - Good song even tho there's no solo. Reeks of "I Am", which is a very good thing. GOOD

6/9 for me. I can see what you mean about the track 10 thing, but IMO two thirds of them are good or better. :)
