There is always a morning parade here in Ridgewood. Even if we wanted to sleep late on a day off we couldn't. The parade stages right in front of my house and they start arriving at 5:30 am LOL.

Afternoon is for eating, drinking and sometimes taking a nap after getting up so early. Most people grill outdoors - summerfood is the order of the day.

Evening is for the biggest fireworks display in Northern NJ. Unfortunately, it is supposed to pour tomorrow night so the fireworks will probably be on Saturday which is the rain date.

I'm going to a cook out at my best friend's house. It will also be serve as her daughter's birthday party since her b-day is the 5th.

What do 10 year old girls like these days? I'm clueless. I think she's going to get some money. :)

If she's a typical 10 year old girl anything girly or glitzy usually works. If she's like my daughter was she want's climbing gear so she can go hiking LOL. I have gone to gift certificates from Barnes and Noble - or even Amazon. That way they can choose for themselves.

It's so early because it takes them forever to set up for this parade. It's a couple of mile parade route. Also they want the parade to be over by noon so that the streets can be re-opened. So it gets started organizing super early. I figure that it's only once a year - fortunately.

For the 4th of July my family and friends are having a cookout in my backyard. Then later on this evening we are all going to hang out in our city's downtown area where we are going to enjoy the end of the festivities of our "Freedom Festival" and then watch the fireworks being let off over the Cedar River.

Are you serious? Is that a Brit thing? Why do people eat McDondalds by CHOICE?

I went to the beach for a few days with my dogs and having the dogs with me, I couldn't really go to any restaurant (didn't want to leave them in the bungalow while sitting alone in a restaurant) and I ran out of food I brought on day 2. So, I HAD to drive through a McDonalds and must say it is some of the most disgusting foods there is... Put a real hamburger on the grill and treat yourself to a 'real' bun - none of that fake food crap.

End of rant - not at all anti-junk food, btw.

Not doing much over here. Got home from a long weekend away yesterday and so there is laundry to do and unpacking and that sort of stuff.... there will be burgers later on today and possibly watching the fireworks from the park across the street as I can see all the way to Seattle from there and all fireworks of all towns/cities to the west...
