Jon won't sleep in Bogota

Mr. Jovi will sleep in Mexico City during his concerts in Bogota and Caracas 'cause he thinks Bogota is just too dangerous....... ohh you really SUCK man !!

maybe this ST0NES Song was goin´ thru his head.....
One hundred thousand disparos
Lost in the jails of South America
Cuddle up baby
Cuddle up tight
Cuddle up baby
Keep it all out of sight
Undercover
Keep it all out of sight
Undercover of the night

The sex police are out there in the streets
Make sure the pass laws are not broken
The race militia has got itchy fingers
All the way from New York back to Africa

It matters where he sleeps why???? He often doesn't stay in cities where they play in the US.

This triggers something in the crevices of my memory. LOL They played there on the NJ tour, maybe? Or KTF? I vaguely remember an interview where Jon was asked about weird experiences on the road and being in Columbia was one of them because they had to have police protection to and from the airport and massive security at the show. They started to wonder if it was so dangerous why they had been booked there.

Shouldn't you just be glad they're actually playing there then?

I personally wouldn't care where they sleep as long as they put on a good show. It's ages since they last were there anyway, so the fact that they're going at all and playing is what should count.

I'll suppose you're kiddin' here.

Maybe something's lost in translation to me, but why is this a big deal?

Just as a comparison Warrior - I know plenty of people that won't spend the night in New York City either. Some of them won't even spend the day because they think it is too dangerous. I personally don't get it but I know too many people like that to dismiss them. Most people's perception of a place is determined by the media coverage of that city unfortunately - not their own experiences.

Also, like someone else said, they don't stay the night in a lot of cities. I don't think it's a insult to Des Moines if they fly out to the next city on their private jet though. They do a lot of traveling at night.
