Big and Rich to Open for Bon Jovi in '08.......

...at least according to one country radio station in Pheonix.

Obviously it's not offical but I suppose it's very possible given their collaboration and the fact that Jon seems to think the sun shines out of their arses.

Where did that come from?

awesome

great if true - particularly if they are going to bring them over to the uk.

Cool! :) They put on a good show. Even the amount of ridiculous spectacle in their show doesn't conceal that they're actually quite decent singers/songwriters/musicians.

In the UK they will get tomatoes thrown at them!

I'm not really a big fan of theirs, so I don't know this, but aren't they big enough in the US to headline?

jamesd 07-17-2007 10:03 PM

no

they wouldn't get stuff thrown at them in the uk!!!

I've been a rock metal fan since 1986 but I love Big and Rich - what they do and how they do it is really no different than aerosmith, bon jovi etc.

They play damn good music, a lot of it very rocky and put on a spectacle of a show - the uk would love it.

They were top bill when I saw them in 2005. They may have been co-headlining with Gretchen Wilson. The show advertisement made it seem like GW was the headliner. I wanted to go see B&R and then leave, but GW came on first. I had to sit through her set to see them, which I was not too happy about.

Interesting. It may however, see them being brought out again for We Got It Going On, and we'll be subjected to the whole "and now a word from my country cousin" bit before the solo!

I think Big and Rich will put on a good show. You know they'll come out for We Got It Going On. That'll be interesting.
