i'm going back to norway
 

on account of having itchy feet and getting sick of hearing people prattle on about their holidays whilst i've not been able to get away ive booked up to go a mini cruise to bergen a week on tuesday

and in a fit of originality i should be booking up a lads weekend to prague on monday or tuesday :D

io have some of my best friends out in norway, one of them just moved to bergan, not the biggest city in the wold, but take it from me the Norway people can party! and i can testify for that first hand. lol

ull run inot a lot of sunnis over there, in different forms, but all brill to hang out with.

i went a few years ago with an ex girlfriend but i was "between jobs" so had about 40 quid to do me the full trip and 40 notes doesnt go far in norway at all.

but ive got money now and theyve did the ship up so there's more bars and stuff. my gf is petrified of boats and apparently properly freaks out on them but she's been warned that i'll still be going to the casino and bars onboard even if she spends the duration hiding in the toilet crying :-D

bergan is a a very funki town, i really find it hard calling it a city! then again Belfast is a city as well!

40 notes would not get your through a weekend there, thats for sure, i was out there for a few months and i had to price everyhting so i wouldnt spend over my limit! (which i did very well!) and the price of drink sucks! so does the fact you cant drink spirits till your 21! but i dout ull have any trouble jim!

one buit of advice, dont go for the 60% vodka raw drinking competition!!! u may win, but **** it is at a price i can tell ya!

of course i was defending national irish honor! so it is allowed lol

just found a "student" club online that does beers for 25NOK (about £2.40) :-)

that's pretty much bargain basement as far as beer prices over there goes. just need to see if i can find it on a map now.

not to be outdone by jana in the vagabond stakes, as of about 3 minutes ago i'm going back to riga in october with my bro too :-)

well i've been stuck here all summer and there's only so much i can take of hearing my bro talk about cancun, my sister detailing what she'll be doing in canada and the US next month or my parents prattling on about the cruise they're going on next year before i have to take a stand and gtfo of here for the sake of my own sanity :-)

i cant wait to go back to norway i just hope my gf is ok on the boat but now i'm really looking forward to riga since it's going to be a lads one.

i can imagine it being slightly more wild with my bro than with the missus (i'm sure several JTers will confirm the general scumbaggery we exude when drinking together) and when you take into account that i was leaving the hostel bar to go to bed at 8 or 9 every morning when i was there with her in january i shudder to think what's going to happen with my bro and anyone else who decides to tag along over there with no females on hand to babysit :-D

i just remembered i need to book digs for me and him going to see the police in london next month too.

it's not a bad life :-)

well i enjoyed it. ms jbj wasn't joking when she said she really doesn't like boats :-)

didn't spent that much money. in fact i ended up throwing the last of my kroners into a video poker machine just to get rid of them when i was expecting the old mastercard to take a beating.

got to stay with the always awesome kev bee and his lovely missus in noo'casul for a few days too which is always nice.

prize for whoever rightly guesses to the nearest 50p what the 1st round of a pint and a 1/2 pint of lager cost us when we actually set foot in norway
