so i'm fasting for the last few days of ramadan

apparently if ypu've never fasted for ramadan before but you start on the 27th day (today) and finish it then you get all the kudos or blue peter badges or whatever it is fasting gets you.

no food, liquids (except water, i'm not going without water all day that's just stupid) sex during the day :'-(

i'm giving the no alcohol at all one a by too since i don't think allah will smite me for having a few beers at band practice tonight or on friday when i'm out.

i just thought i'd give my willpower a little test / kick up the arse

today shouldn't be too bad since i got up at noon and can eat at about half 6 but tomorrow i'll be up from half 6. that's 12 hours without food and i doubt i've got the inclination to get up earlier than i need to just to eat.

i'll keep you guys updated :-D

it'll be interesting to see how much weight i lose too because i'm confident this morning i was 172.....

depends if i'm invited or not.

the chefs in my old job have a massive feast which the head chef invited me last year but i didn't want to just turn up looking like i just want to eat all their grub especially when these guys are really devout.

we'll see. if i don't go i'll just head down to safeway and get myself the biggest ribeye steak i can find :-D

Anyone that has had medical problems in the past should not fast without discussing this with their GP first .

Fasting can alter the body , ie increase stomach acid etc......low blood sugar etc etc... so get checked out first.
