Tourdates Holland and Germany

Aloha !

Someone is getting a kick out of this if it isn't true, but oh well, I've fooled him more than enough times. :)

June 24: Amsterdam ArenA, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
June 26: LTU Arena, Dusseldorf, Germany
June 28: Müngersdorfer Stadion, Köln, Germany

There you go. The dates will probably go out this monday so you'll know it soon enough if it's true. Tickets go on sale this saturday & sunday.

Edit: It isn't true after all. Boohoo, I just transferred all my Bon Jovi money from my Bon Jovi bankg account to my normal bank account. Boohoo shame on you all who try to fool innocent fans!

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Where did you get this info from?

Jovisis 11-04-2007 01:12 PM

Cologne AND Düsseldorf?? Both cities are very close to each other. I prefer Frankfurt-lol.

Sebje, ouwe,
those dates aren't real off course...
the real 2008 Holland date will be announced this Monday 19:00 on Radio Veronica who will sponsor the gig and give away a meet and greet with the band before the gig for a very empty ArenA

Aloha !

Oh well, seems like I've lost my touch. Good for me I haven't started my Bon Jovi diet yet.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

****ing hell, why do they play in the ****ed up Amsterdamn Arena AGAIN!? Every self-respecting artist should boycot the damn place. Pick De Kuip in Rotterdam for God sakes, the sound is a zillion times better over there!
****!

Those dates were false, but still. It's not the band that picks the venues, it's the promotor, in this case Mojo. Since the Arena is a lot more inexpensive to rent, they decide to go for The Arena, even though de Kuip has about the same capacity, and has acoustics that make the Arena look even worse (if it's even possible). If Bon Jovi would tell Mojo that they will not go to Holland if they'd have to play the Arena, the problem would solve itself and Mojo would rent Feijenoord Stadium, like the did when Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones gave their demands about not wanting to play that shithole.

Even though the Arena has promised "to make it better" it'll never be good, and more and more Dutch fans start avoiding the place and go to shows outside of Holland. This is not only happening to Bon Jovi, but is happening to more bands, simply due to the acoustics being that bad. I've seen 5 concerts there and not one of them had good acoustics. I'm not planning on doing a Bon Jovi show there anymore, even though the shows they've done there were very good. It's just not worth my money anymore.

Sebastiaan

that's not exactly true. The Rolling stones refused to play Amsterdam Arena couple years ago and they played de Kuip. They did this because of the sound.
Another artist (can't remember) also refused to play in the Arena, also this went to another venue (Arnhem it was).

Nowadays, Its common know for artist that the Amsterdam Arena isn't the best place for a concert therefore Mojo will be more willing to change venues.
Arena probs are doing everything they can to get the gigs because on Ajax alone they won't make money

Edit: did not read your post properly, re Spingsteen & Stones, so it is possible. I hope BJ do the same thing and go to the Kuip (and not Arnhem or something)

Interesting, I didn't know that Bruce refused to play there. Respect to him!
Yeah, I really hope BJ will also avoid the damn place. If they're gonna play there, I won't go either. I attended three gigs over there; only during one the sound was good, but that was because I was in the front row!
I guess nobody thought about the possibility to have concerts over there too, when they built it. Jeeezzz!

De Kuip would be great; I saw my first BJ concert (which was my first concert ever at the same time, too) over there back in '96.
