Bristol 2008...
 

I was really excited about this gig as Bristol is my local and I thought WOW even though i have traveled a fair distance to see Bon Jovi it would be great not to have a long drive home afterwards.
So i got allt he pre sale emaisl ready for Wednesday morning, but TM didnt have Bristol listed uinitl 1:50 (ish) so in a panic i rang TM and Ashton gate, TM told me they hav no record of BJ going to Bristol and Ashton gate seemed as confused as me, so when the gig "appeared" i was ready.
So when i click to buy GC it came up straight away with "no tickets found" gutted, so between me and sis we get GC Glasgow and GC Southampton and GA for Bristol for a mate, now i spend the rest the week trying to find someone with a GC for Bristol but fail.
Toiday at 10am I am on SEE and sis on TM but as soon as they "open" it says SOLD OUT! Bummer!
Now all day TM has been showing seating /standing not availiable then availiable etc etc.
I rang Ashton gate and they tell me GC for Bristol sold out in one second..now i know Bon Jovi are popular and many peeps want to see them etc etc but does anyone else feel the same that maybe (just maybe) there has been a cock up wiht GC Bristol as even Ebay is failing to show any (or two last time i checked) for sale so i take that means the touts didnt get any either?!
Fair enough if i wasnt fast enough (although i promise i thought i was quick) and fair enough if people were quicker etc but something doesnt sit right with me, unless they are keeping GC for the "VIP" packages or side stage excperience and hospitality stuff?
Any info on any one having GC will be much apreciated!
Failing getting tickets to Bristol i will end up taking a drive down just to see if i can see the band arriving and leaving, beats sitting at home knowing that they are only a few miles away from me!!

When I spoke to someone at Ashton Gate the other day they said the GC would hold about 1350. 300 of these tix were held by the fanclub, 600 were for the hospitality packages ashton gate are selling and the rest were going to be split between TM and See. So I was guessing Bristol "sold out" quicker 'cos for some reason there were more tix held back for hospitality packages there than at the other stadiums? - which is bad. Maybe if all the hospitality packages don't sell they will put some GC tix back in the pot?

Bristol's been very weird, then again its the smallest venue isn't it?

I hope you get some :) I have a lot to owe this board, for one thing the only reason I have a GC ticket at all (for Coventry) is because zero zero noticed there were still some left on Ticketline

I cant complain i have gotGC for southhampton , i just didnt want to have the long drive home after!
I have a mate that works at GWR fm so she will let me know of any competions etc to enter, i would love to see them on "my" home turf!

yup its gonna be tiny compared to say Twickenham...should hopefully have a different but gd feel about it! it only holds 19,500 and thats with all 4 stands...so miss off a stand and add the standing...uuum your probs looking at around 22,000>25,000 ?

lucky i chosen to get my Bristol ticks from the FC i guess... but i feel for you guys who didnt have much luck with the GC... :( espeically u locals!
