I voted AC/DC... They're the definition of rock.

If it was just best band I'd have voted Led Zep, who is/was much more than just rock.

A band that hasn't rocked on a full studio album for well over a decade, is ubcapable of rocking during all their concerts but only during shows they feel like doing certainly isn't "the best rock band" to me. I don't really think there is one to be honest.

Well as I stated in a different thread - the rock and roll god might strike me dead if I voted for Bon Jovi in that poll over some of those most excellent rock bands. My vote goes to Led Zeppelin despite Ponrauil's post:

I agree that they were much more but nobody has ever rocked harder in my opinion. When they were in rock mode they grabbed you and didn't let go. I had the good fortune to be at some of the 1975 Madison Square Garden concerts. I have mentioned before that those of us that were there thought we had seen god - and it wasn't just what we were smoking LOL. Those kind of concerts took weeks to actually process after the fact they were so good.

black sabbath wasn't even there? what sort of poll is this? metallica is there but black sabbath isn't??? in my opinion, definitely the greatest band ever anyway. 2nd on my list would be ac/dc but since for whatever reason I am so much into bon jovi (no clue why), I still voted for them. stupid.
