Just because an album is #1, doesn't mean it's good...
 

Face it, the only reason why Lost Highway was #1, is because of the success the HAND album had. HAND is what got fans interested into Bon Jovi, and because of that album, Lost Highway hit #1. Same thing happened to New Jersey, but that album deserved it's spot.

No its not a great album but i think its a gd record and strong through... unlike HAND which was an album of 2 halfs... i dont think that raised Jovi's profile at all really...not in the UK anyway... i think wat sold LH was more the Bon Jovi brand to be fair... i think lost highway is their best album since Crush no question.

Of course they beat BJ live, just listen to any live version of "Girl You Know It's True". These guys were so good. Real professionals! Their songs sounded "almost" ;) like on the record

Your right, a #1 does not make an album good.
I happened to be very pleasently suprised with LH, and I like it a GREAT deal though.
Just my opinion of course.

You've got it the wrong way around - the album isn't good because it got to #1, but it got to #1 because it is good, or enough people think so that so many bought it for it to get to #1.
