Wasnt this show done to promote the release of Tokyo Road in Japan (ie by playing that album in total)? Not really good comparising to the other sets...

Anyway I geuss you mean take the last of LH tour against all other tours suppose to only the HAND tour as you didn't post that one (but said previous tour)???

If I think about the time when it was played (ie albums were released by then) I really like the Fukuoka 96 night most, but that isn't suprising. The 93 set is also not bad considiring they played 5 new songs + some cool stuff.
Of course the OWN set is oustanding but again I believe that was a one-off due to the release of Tokyo Road

Yes. They played the entire Tokyo Road album from start to finish. Here's the second night if you think the first night doesn't count:

March 29, 2001, Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan Setlist:
1. One Wild Night
2. You Give Love A Bad Name
3. Captain Crash & The Beauty Queen From Mars
4. Keep The Faith
5. ~ Sympathy For The Devil
6. Livin' On A Prayer
7. Born To Be My Baby
8. It's My Life
9. Wild In The Streets
10. Just Older
11. Thank You For Loving Me
12. Lay Your Hands On Me
13. I Got The Girl
14. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
15. Bad Medicine
16. Shout

Encore 1:
17. Next 100 Years
18. I'll Be There For You

Encore 2:
19. Wanted Dead Or Alive
20. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night

Encore 3:
21. Tequila
22. Twist & Shout

I'd still take this set over the first one from the Lost Highway Tour, despite this show being 15 minutes shorter.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

On the other hand there is only 4 song difference between the rest of the setlist and what you will hear today:

One Wild Night
Thank You For Loving Me
I Got The Girl
Next 100 Years
(maybe Tequila too)

Of the above I could do without TYFLM and IGTG.

Yes over the LH tour definitaly, also despite of the 3rd encore and therefore effectively being 25 minutes shorter.

All the KTF sets were shorter then the LH sets, a lot shorter, I'd take them any day over the LH sets. Its not all about the sets, its mainly how they perform the songs.

Living_on_my_Hair 11-24-2007 07:52 PM

I think its only fair to point out that the LH tour set (at least this example and several others) have a good number of songs at 23, more than the examples given here from the earlier tours.

The songs themselves may not be as strong, but at least they are not slacking on the length/number of songs that they play and we can be assured we will get a 2hr hour show minimum, usually actually closer to the 2.5hr mark.

Aerosmith sets these days are quite dramatically short, but then again, Tyler wipes the floor with JBJ on his current form.

ho hum...

andi

p.s
to answer the post, i'd have the These Days set anyday over the current one.

Crushgen24/88 11-24-2007 08:03 PM

I like the KTF setlist the best.
The TD setlist is a close second.

.

exactly, I rather have a 1.30 hr or even a 1.45 hr set if they put more in the songs then a 2.5 hr like this

Ollie 11-24-2007 08:17 PM

We've unfortunatley gotta accept that they aint the same band anymore...

they cant wack out hits like Bed Of Roses/Always night after night... and wont...and Jon aint gonna have the energy he once had on stage...

Ok, just to play devil's advoctae for a minute, let's say they an abosolute kickass, balls to the wall set that simply contained big hits and known songs.
Would you (not just you, but an in-general) complain that the set had no rarities?

As for Aerosmith, they sucked when I saw them.
I have a feeling it was just an off-niht though, so I need to see them again.
