Wel i'm at work and had 2 computers searching. Had to wait about 3 minutes to get my two but on the other computer it said 15 minutes then sold out. I only hit search 20 seconds later and sold out, crazy!!

I'm a bit a sick, i'd rather the 2nd date on the friday for handiness with work and that but sure I may make a weekend of it in Dublin.

Hey - at least you got tickets and didn't have to pay e-bay or scalper prices for them. These damn concerts sell out in less than 3 or 4 minutes.

I hope you enjoy the music.

Kathleen 11-28-2007 05:29 PM

I mentioned that somewhere in one of the Bruce threads. I have been kicked out of the queue by having multiple windows open - which is why I buy tickets at work now and use multiple computers. I read at Greasy Lake that there would be multiple Dublin shows so I guess you got lucky :)

Talk about drama getting tickets. Signed on at 8.55, kept refreshing up to 9.02 on 2 windows, only then to be told there a 15 (!) min waiting time, then AFTER that runs out only to be told that i'm not allowed two windows open at the same time anymore! Then told it was sold out.....

THEN...by chance, I noticed a second date up for sale! TM or Bruce website had said nothing about a second date, so I was quite lucky to be probably one of the first people to notice that.

Hopefully not like this 2mrw for Punchestown!

Ye can't wait now, was lucky to get my tickets. My girlfriend's bday is 4 days after concert so i'll surprise her with tickets if I can hold my excitement in for 6 months.

Just have to add one more Bon Jovi gig to finish off my road trip, think i'll go for Twickenham Sat night.

Have to wait for next tour to do the Giants Stadium thing, hope they haven't tore down the old stadium by then. Cheers for all the Bruce info Kathleen.

Holy crap - the old man is still selling tickets like hotcakes LOL. I know he sells well around here but this is home for him.

I sat down and watched the Barcelona DVD (from 2002) last night. I just had to have more Bruce :)

asok80 11-28-2007 10:27 PM

I know what you mean! I've just loaded my iPod with the last Boston show so that we have something to listen too before and after the show on Friday. :-)

Proteus 11-30-2007 01:11 PM

I was at the show in Milan, 8th row:) It was...amazing. I don't know what to say, maybe the best concert I've ever seen. I'll post the pics I took later today.

Some of those came out pretty good. You guys sure got a great setlist and from what I can tell from the bootleg an excellent sounding show.

Proteus 11-30-2007 11:49 PM

Yeah, both setlist and sound were excellent. Bruce and the band were on fire, the crowd was wild: a perfect night!

Proteus 12-01-2007 01:58 AM

And here's Thunder Road;)

I know the feeling. If you are feeling rich there is always scalpers heaven (e-bay) :D

You can always try the ticket exchange (BTX) at Backstreets. They only allow face value stuff to be listed (theoretically).

If you are online at 9:00, I have absolutely no doubt that you will score.

But good luck regardless.

I'm skipping the rush tomorrow - Jam in the Dam (www.jaminthedam.com) is a far bigger priority financially and emotionally for now. 2 Springsteen shows this year is more than my fair share for a while (though nothing on Kathleen) and if I feel the need closer to the time, there's always travel packages for a weekend in Euroope, legitamate second hand sale and (god forbid) ebay.

Mongoose 12-04-2007 09:56 PM

Yeah I'll be on at 09.00, the only problem is our computers at work have mentally high security on them and I've not tried to buy anything yet grr. I tried to google the lottery numbers today but no apparently the mod don't like gambling! :(

The most annoying thing is that as a member of Arsenal I was given the chance to get advance tickets for the Emirates gig! But toooo far to go :( :( :(

Yvonne 12-04-2007 11:43 PM

Wednesday 28th May Manchester Old Trafford
Friday 30th May London Emirates Stadium
Saturday 14th June Cardiff Millennium Stadium

take your pick

Mongoose 12-04-2007 11:45 PM

? Was that aimed at me? I know the dates?

Yvonne 12-04-2007 11:47 PM

nooo that was at anyone in general

Yvonne 12-05-2007 12:07 AM

and they are quite cheap... £55 fora standing ticket, £45-£55 for a seat (excluding booking fee)

That's reasonable, but it's no way cheap!

asok80 12-05-2007 11:31 AM

I'd call it "cheap" compared to other tix in England for sure.

Proteus 12-05-2007 01:40 PM

Got my tickets for the show at San Siro:D
If you'e a Bruce fan, come to the show in Milan. There's nothing like seeing Bruce in Italy. Tickets are on sale and they are pretty cheap(about 50€ for the GA).

Mongoose 12-05-2007 07:19 PM

Feck me, £130 for two tickets arrrgh but I'm happy

asok80 12-05-2007 08:53 PM

The shows in Italy and Milan are legendary aren't they? Unfortunately, we can't make it this time around. Too much money spent already on Jovi and Bruce tix.

I'm curious, Kathleen. What music do you lean towards outside of NJ rock? (and opera! - though I can see the similarities!)

Well before I was even a Bruce fan I was (and still am) a big Led Zeppelin fan. I became a Pink Floyd fan in 1972 with Dark Side of the Moon and I still listen to David Gilmour. I was always a Paul Simon / Simon and Garfunkel fan - right from the beginning. I was a Beatles fan but not at the very beginning - only after they started writing somthing other than 3 minute love tunes. I also have a folk background since the early sixties played a lot of folk music. I was actually a Pete Seeger fan way back when so I was delighted when Bruce did the Seeger Sessions album.

I really just love music of all kinds. Opera is a combination of music and spectacle - just like any good rock show. (I also know that most people don't see it that way LOL). Before I became an engineer I was a music major for 2 years. It was the math and science that I needed for the music degree that turned me into an engineer. I have played the piano all my life - and when I play it's mostly classical music - unless I'm playing with my son's band. Then it's rock and backing vocals.

I simply cannot imagine life without music.

Oh yeah - I downloaded it a while ago. Dime is a gold mine as far as I'm concerned. So may shows that I saw when I was younger have shown up there and that is such a treat.

Wow - gorgeous stuff - and very inventive. I never heard of them but that doesn't mean much.

Crushgen24/88 12-08-2007 08:29 AM

I'll most likely be hitting one of those GIANTS gigs.

asok80 12-08-2007 08:44 AM

Oh Kathleen! Just saw that you're seeing La Boheme in April. Lucky you! I've always wanted to see that one but the opera house here in Gothenburg has never put it up, not while I've been into opera anyways. I just love that one.

asok80 12-11-2007 08:57 PM

Just back from Bruce show in Stockholm and I've got just one word for it....JUNGLELAND!
Brilliant version!! with Clarence doing the entire sax solo. Wow! Incredible show with a beautiful The River as well and Clarence son Christopher joined them on stage on guitar for Dancing in the dark. :-)
Can't wait until London!
