Live shows

Uhm. Not sure if I should even write this....

Anyway, Prudential center shows. First of all, I really dislike the new album, but, seems that the songs work better live, actually adding some diversity to the shows. Some turned out quite, hmmm, likable. Jon then, his voice isn't any better than last couple of tours, but somehow he doesn't sound annoying. Maybe accepting his limits and doing all he can with his voice. Playing at times does sound lazy, but it kinda fits. Less rocking than in the past, but much more entertaining than last tours.

One things that has been discussed is the chatter in between songs. As much as I hate those worn out lines, gotta admit what someone posted: chatter has become part of the songs. Boring, but just gotta admit that those stupid lines are there to stay. To think of it, even if its all heard time and time again, the lines keep the show moving.

Song selections then. Apparently they have rehearsed loads of tunes for the tour. I do hope they would add at least couple of lost gems to the set. For example something from fahrenheit. Or, as it seems to be a trend these days, they should try playing a whole album, be it SWW or whatever. No, I don't mean one night of LH. Main thing is trying something they haven't done yet. And for God's sake, get rid of Shout.

So, I must say I'm surprised in quite positive way. Didn't expect anything from them anymore. Still not back to being a rock band, but back to being an entertaining band. Which is all cool in my book.

can I say, thank god for at least something a bit positive on this board at long last.

And good opinion Stone - and from someone who doesn't like LH. It's the thing with Jovi, even songs I really don't like (Bells Of Freedom for example), it works live. They'll always be the best damn live band in the world for me (with INXS a very, very close 2nd).

i just want to hear "stick to your guns" & "wild is the wind" live and then I can die a happy man.
ive seen them 12 times since 1990 and never have they played the above songs.
also I would like some farhenhiet - couldnt care less if they dropped songs from the Cruch, Bounce, Have a nice day & lost highway albums.

Well, my opinion differs. I still think they are nothing but a shadow of their past. But the improvement is that I find them entertaining again.

Me? Nah. I still rate even them worst metal bands a lot higher than anything country-ish.
