Bon Jovi Uk Single Flop - Worse Than We Thought!!! Uk Single Disaster!!

as we have discusssed Bon Jovi latest single in UK failed to chart top 40, the first time in decades, cue disappointment and embarrasement!! but to make it worse.....i was reading the industys mag - 'Music Week' - this lists the latest offiical chart.

And not only did Lost HIghway fail to mark the top 40, it also FAILED TO HIT THE TOP 75!!! no where to be seen!!!

Reason: what do you guys think? personally, i know that it was meant to work better in USA (country market) but at the same time - its classic jove - with a few fiddles!!
the promo over here sucks, we should see them on music programmes (later with jools / the south bank show) not creaming the housewife market with This Morning!!

i know history willl show that jovi, over the years, have been very successful over here, but at the minute - these are very lean years for jovi in uk - since 2002 to be fair. even though albums/singles charted high (the faithful buyers) they fall away very quickly - never to be seen again.

lessons need to be learned quickly - very quickly, to stop jovi becoming what jon wants least - a nostalga band!!

p.s. last week the dvd 'lost highway live' charted at number 4. this week its down to number 7.

later, rich.

Mentioned already, it actually failed to make the Top 100. Doesnt help 2 of the 3 promo appearances being a week late, although it may go up a tad this week, but probably wont.

Not really surprised - man, I haven't even bought a copy this time. Normally I would for the bonus tracks, but just having Hallelujah - no thanks.

Maybe that'll teach them to put better content on the singles, but more likely, they just won't release singles any more.

It's no great shakes though. It's not like it was going to sell well anyway.

Surprise, surprise. This was the dumbest single choice ever for the UK. Freakin unbelievable really...

This is something you need to get used to....

Those apearances were far from great either - so nothing which might help a crap tune.
Face it: People getting cleverer and don't buy that shit anymore just because JBJ is on the cover....
In former times he was on the cover too and the single included decent music. This time is over.....

Serves 'em right.

Haven't even bought the DVD, I've no interest in watching it. I may get it at some point for completist sake but I doubt I'll ever be bothered to actually sit down and watch it. The cd is listenable but don't want to watch a whole concert of it. Why do they always release crap novelty concerts like this and TLFR live instead of decent live DVD's of proper shows?

My God this message board really is crap!!!!!!non stop moaning about the band, if you don't like it listen to something else, stop going on and on about single choices and how crap you think the album is, it was a one off album and was the band trying something different!! just get over it already
