As far as I am concerned this person should be banned, what are your thoughts about this?

You'd ban the IP address, but it's very easily changed.

I dunno if there is a banning system in place, but yeah, he's not just voicing his opinion, he's infecting every thread with argumentative, insulting comments.

Depends on his internet connection; it's possible he has a static IP address so that could be blocked.

I don't post on here as often as other people but I read the boards everyday. That's enough for me to say ban him.

how bad is this guy?? ive seen one or two of his posts and they are argumentative but in a kinda funny way...so obviously i havnt see the extent of his posts lol.

Just take a look through the forum - virtually EVERY discussion on anything even remotely related to Lost Highway and he butts in saying how much he hates it - yet he only signed up months after the album was released. It's easy enough to ignore his posts by putting him on our ignore lists, but people get suckered into argueing with him, which spoils thread after thread.

Just stating plain facts - but it is funny that my posts are deleted without a single reason apart from critizising the band. This is Backstage here.

There is a difference between "stating facts" and shoving your opinion down everyones throats. It's your brash attitude that's getting people angry. You're simply convinced you're right and everyone should see things your way. Because you don't like the new album, it's fact that it sucks, and so on.

There's nothing wrong with not liking the new album, you just take it WAY too far.

You say you hate this band nowadays - so why even bother to sign up here? You signed up after the album was released, and every single post is about you hating it. Feel free to join in discussions about other aspects of the band but no, you choose simply to reply every time with "I hate Lost Highway" (albeit with poor spelling and grammar skills).

Initially I thought he was Seb having a laugh, but it just has gone way beyond even one of Sebs jokes now (and his are usually much better anyway).

I know that Peter doesn't like to ban people, but this guy is just a complete waste of bandwidth, and if in his real life (if he has one) he is anything like this online persona then he is a waste of skin too. I'd pity him if he weren't such a twat.

We had the discussion of "being nostalgic": All who is nostalgic is you who still say that BJ are relevant and release great music which simply isn't just the case anymore. You are pretending that they are the same as they used to be. I say they are not. Posts being deleted without any reason is pathetic.

If you read ALL of my posts you can clearly see where my "anger" is coming from. This self declared "Mr supercool" who thinks that he owns this board was the first thing I noticed on here. What a jerk I was thinking and - apart from my thoughts about LH - it was about time that someone gave this guy a hard time as you all have probably given up. As you can clearly see since he is not posting since yesterday everything is relaxed now. The only annoying thing is that mr. middlefinger is trying the same as his soul brother: Provocating the big way. Nobody gave S. contra. It was (and is) about time to do so. So when I was starting to post on here it was plain to see that S. can be given a hard time.
As this message is deleted again (which is pathetic IMHO - look at mr supercool's posts with insults over and over again) it seems only a few people understand sarcasm. Sad indeed. So you are all waiting for Supersonic's return with his strange stories and insults and posts like "i am cool and you ain't". If that's what this board is all about and S. is supposed to be your leader then be it. But I guess not few are happy that this guy was given a hard time on here lately - say it or not!

That's exactly what I mean: Once I was critizing someone for poor skills and I get a "warning". You guys do it all the time. If you tried in german (which you all obviously can't speak) it would be a different story. So why not treating everyone equal ? S. can do ANYTHING on here - newbies can't. That's the only thing I learned on here.
And I never said i HATE Bj now I just think that NEVER EVER has a band ruined their legacy as much as BJ have with TLFR and all stuff in 2007. Saying that has to be allowed - even on backstage it does.

Who is pretending? We all change, we all grow - and that is what Bon Jovi have done. Just because you don't like their current record doesn't mean that millions of us still don't, and it doesn't mean that it isn't good - because music, like any art form, is totally subjective. I don't like Elvis or the Beatles - doesn't mean millions of people don't love them still today.

No. You mightn't like the record, fine, and you are entitled your opinion - but all of us here now are well aware of your opinion, so there is absolutely no need for you to re-iterate it at every oppurtunity.

Actually those of us who've been here for years have gotten to know Seb, and as much as he himself can be negative at times he does it in a constructive fashion and at appropriate times. Even he will probably be attenting shows this summer and like the majority of us he'll have a damn good time, because Bon Jovi still put on one hell of a good show.

Stop using stupid abbreviations and try to express yourself more fluently and we might have the slightest clue what you are talking about.

As I said most of us know Seb and that he is harmless, just that sometimes idiots get suckered into arguments with him, and because he knows what he is on about he always comes out on top - and he has outlasted the majority of idiots, such as yourself, who come and go.

I voted yes simply because he's trolling the board. I don't necessarily disagree with everything the guy says, and believe in people being able to express their views, wether I agree with them or not.

You really need to get a grip. We were doing fine before you came along and will continue to be fine once you leave. To be frankly honest, since joining the board in April, you're presence has been the most uncomfortable experience ever on this forum (if that makes sense). I, for one, tried my best in ignoring your posts, but it just seems too damn difficult.

Yes, one thing I like about this forum (as opposed to a Michael Jackson forum I use) is that people can freely express their opinions how negative they may be. I've seen fans present their frustrations on certain issues (such as high ticket prices, the added Twickers date etc...) and it's all good. Debates, arguments and opinions (I'm sure) are allowed on this forum, as long as people draw a line somewhere. Whereas I'm pretty sure you have constantly stepped over the line with your bickering comments.

Of course, I don't know this Seb guy, so I can't really form an opinion on him. And I'm sure I've come across a few of his posts in the past, but the good thing is (unlike your posts) I CAN ignore them if it's something I don't like reading.

I certainly agree that you should be banned...whether temporarily or permanent is for the Mods to decide. I believe some people do learn from temporary bans and change. However, as sorry as it may sound, I don't see you changing at all. So if I was a mod and I was given a decision I'd do it for permanent.

Just so that we're clear, I don't hate you.....I just feel sorry for you. And I do wish you all the best in the future :)

For an album that went Number 1 in the states (for the first time in 19 years) and various countries around the world, surely the band must've done something right :)

I agree that he should be banned. He's brought NOTHING substantive to the list. All he's tried to do is make this a miserable place to be. It seems to me that some of the people I've most enjoyed haven't been around much of late. Gee, I wonder why?

BTW, there are other people on the list who frequently make me angry, but I never set them to "ignore" status. They don't JUST set out to piss people off. Sometimes they pass along really good information, and other times they make me laugh. They have redeeming qualities. So far, in my opinion, we've seen nothing redeeming about born_to_run.

I've been posting here for more than 5 years, and those are the only 2 who I ever would have agreed with banning. It isn't like we gte this kind of idiot around very often.

Yeah but the arm they are doing is being blown way out of proportion.

& Gaz did leave the board by himself in the end.

Also to be fair, insults from and between old timers are tolerated in way that newbies may sometimes feel it's okay to be offensive. Not that I personnaly have a problem with it but what is okay for some should be okay for everyone.

I am disgusted that this forum has allowed a poll on whether some one should be banned, that is a witch hunt and bullying. If the mods feel this persons account should be suspended then they should be decided by the mods and away from the public forum and dealt with in the mod forum.

This forum is suppose to be about learning to get on, not ganging up on someone. I have found the bickering very annonying that has gone on between Seb and Born to run, I actually thought Born to run is Seb altered ego, as he reminds me of Seb a few years back.
Its certainly not the worse I have seen on here. I choose to ignore it and I dont know why others cannot do the same, this has worked previously.

I think this poll shold be removed as bullying of others is not permitted on this forum.

You know - I'm just a little older than most of you. I think there are certain standards that should be met even when disagreeing. This person has no manners at all. I am not in favor of censorship or banning either - unless it's a clearcut case of someone actually being a troll. This person clearly hates the band - or at least what the band has become. Therefore he is only here to cause trouble and stir up shit (which he has done nicely).

For your information, born_to_run, Seb doesn't love everything the band does - far from it actually. But he does enjoy a lot of what they used to do and he operates a file sharing forum that runs beautifully. There are no problems and no insults and no screaming fights (like there were on the file sharing board here where no banning was allowed). There are just people sharing things with each other and when someone likes a certain performance (or hates it) it gets discussed in reasonable terms. Sometimes people even agree to disagree - what a concerpt.

So the BJ management might be interested in his illegal activities don't you think???
