Length of Live From London

Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched but couldn't find anything!

So I've been wanting to pick up Live from London for a while and finally got it for Christmas. It was definately worth it because, as has been said here before, Jons voice sounds GREAT in all of the songs and the band seems to be in really good form. What I'm wondering though is was this the full show or were parts of it edited out? If its the full show it seems quite short because the DVD only comes in at about an hour and a half while todays shows usually clock in around the 2 - 2.5 hour length. I've only been a fan since about 2000 and started going to shows on the bonuch tour so I'm wondering, did the band play shorter shows back in the mid 90's because Jon pushed his voice a little more or is there a lot more of the show that didn't make it on the DVD.

Aloha !

This is the full show:

June 25, 1995, Wembley Stadium, London, UK Setlist:
1. Livin' On A Prayer
2. You Give Love A Bad Name
3. Wild In The Streets
4. Keep The Faith
5. Blood On Blood
6. Always
7. I'd Die For You
8. Blaze Of Glory
9. Runaway
10. Dry County
11. Lay Your Hands On Me
12. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
~ Jumpin' Jack Flash
13. Bad Medicine
14. Shout

Encore 1:
15. Bed Of Roses
16. Hey God
17. These Days

Encore 2:
18. Rockin' All Over The World (with Little Steven)
19. I Don't Like Mondays (with Sir Bob Geldof)

Encore 3:
20. Wanted Dead Or Alive
21. Stranger In This Town
22. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night
23. This Ain't A Love Song

The songs that are on the DVD are the songs the BBC broadcasted on TV. Before the DVD was released, the band released a VHS in 1996 which contained the same songs, and your DVD is just a VHS rip.

The complete concert however was broadcasted on BBC Radio at that time and is available on bootleg. And to make things complete, a complete DVD of the first night at Wembley leaked 2 years ago, but has sound issues for the first 12 songs. This one has about the same main set, but has Good Guys Don't Always Wear White in the encore. Hope this helps.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

THey played even longer sets than today! Surely one of the best BJ shows ever. And I was there (and also on the cover :D:D:D). Those were the days!!

Those shows were definitely all very close to the 3 hour mark.

WILL NEVER FORGET, those shows, we were there for the second show on the saturday, and fortunately missed the GELDOF episode :D (thank god). The very pinnicle of their live career, in my humble opinion. been to many many gigs, and every Jovi tour that came to town, and have never witnesed anywhere near the atmosphere that was created on the Wembeley gig(s)

Wow, I have that dvd and didn't know they played all those songs. I knew it wasn't the whole concert. That really pisses me off that the entire concert isn't on the dvd. :(:(

Wow.....really?

I never knew it was leaked ONLY 2 years ago. Why, may I ask? Didn't anyone have it before?

No they didn't. Sets from 1995 contained 20 songs, sets from 2006 contain at least 23 songs. The Wembley shows and Rotterdam were an exception compared to the rest of the tour.

No they weren't. The first night lasted about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and it was only the last night that ran over 2,5 hours. It was the longest show of the European 1995 tour, but most shows of that tour lasted 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Sure someone must've had it before, but 2 years ago all of a sudden 5 VHS copies of that show showed up on eBay, claiming it was the first show, and not the show from Live From London.

At first, most people, including me, thought it were just 5 copies from Live From London, but then someone bought one for only 2 dollars or something, and just took the shot of buying something useless. Useless it wasn't, though. :)

Sebastiaan

I could have sworn they came on every night at 7.30 and finished between 10.15 and 10.30 depending on the night but well, was a long time ago :)

I agree, a 'few' shows since then have come close but nothing has ever topped that weekend for me, magical!

They didn't tend to be on stage the entire time though, because there's usually a short break between encores.
