Lost Highway as a live experience?

Okay, as you probably know, I've always been pleasantly surprised by Lost Highway, think it's a decent record, and going by the DVD performance also sounds fine live.

However, maybe I'm finally coming to realize something - at a Bon Jovi show, what I pretty much do is Bounce through the entire 2 or however long set. When I've seen more mid-tempo bands (like R.E.M. for instance) I've found it harder to get into. So fo those of you that have so far heard LH live (especially the shows where they've played the full album, 'cause they may just do that at the last Twicks show - don't think they will in Glasgow 'cause it'll die there), is there any songs that are - you know, uhm, BOUNCY ;) from the new album when it's played live?

Maybe this is what all you were meaning about it "not rocking" and I'm finally coming to realise that.

This is going by the Nov. 9 show:
Work well live:
-Make A Memory
-We Got It Going On
-Whole Lot of Leaving
-Any Other Day

Middle of the road (Read as the song will depend if it's played with energy or not)
-Lost Highway
-Summertime
-I Love This Town
-The Last Night

Didn't Quite Work:
-Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore
-Seat Next To You
-Everbody's Broken
-One Step Closer

I LOVE THIS TOWN ... that gets me going. LOST HIGHWAY... Yes, the albums is a bit mellower than most, but it still had alot of "Bounce" (by the way, one of my fave songs live....)

AAD and that's about it. The rest are songs that are everything but "live Killers". They bore on cd - and live even more.

What do you mean with AAD? Could it possibly be AOD = Any Other Day?

lol, I noticed that. A lot of posts had AAD and I wondered what the hell they were talking about.

Funnily enough, I actually don't like the song Bounce that much (though I still did a lot of it that tour). Not sure why. It's not the worst song on the album but I'd take Love Me Back To Life or Hook Me Up over it any day.

I have strange ideas, I know...lol.

From the shows I went to, more so in Canada, Lost Highway (because it was the opener) and Summertime got BIG reactions. I Love This Town went over well also. The slower songs, like SNTU, LN, OSC, didn't go over well, not really because of tempo, but because the audience as a whole didn't know them.

The night they played the whole album was one of the best shows that I've seen. There was more energy on this night than on many of the other Newark nights.

If they do this at a concert that you go too - I think you will enjoy it.

Let me post what I wrote the morning after the 9th Newark show when they had first played LH in its entirety: (Just as some background - I had said a few days before this that I would leave if they attempted the entire album - I'm not fond of this album at all)

Ok folks - I was one of the ones complaining about them playing the entire album. The way they did it was excellent - it surprised me. Strangers without LeAnn is actually a decent song.

However I have only one thing to say about this show - they left it all on the stage tonight - all of them - but Jon especially. It was not even remotely phoned in. THIS was the band I fell in love with. No there weren't a bunch of rarities but the energy from the stage was awesome. And Jon singing IBTFY made a lot of people happy - I saw tears.

Jon did a lot of talking and really connected with the audience - I am delighted that I was there. Richie didn't sing solo at all and Jon did the first part before the encore straight through.

It will be a while before I will be able to sleep. One more night to go
