Best and worst live opener
 

The worst opener for me would have to be Bounce.

As for the best...probably Lay Your Hands On Me although I do like it being played in the middle of the set...

Anyone else?

I do like fast uptempo openers like Bounce or LMS.
Easy choice for me:
BEst One: LYHOM (with Jon coming u from under the stage)
Worst One: (I guess you knew b4): LH including this annoying intro (do the still have this ?????)

Of ones I've seen (Bounce, Last Man Standing, Rockin' In The Free World, Lost Highway <twice>, and You Give Love A Bad Name) I think LMS was best, and RITFW was worse (not that it was bad, just didn't work as an opener IMO)

I still think It's My Life would be a KICKASS opener.

Have to correct myself: The best opener ever was Boys are back in town in Berlin 2000! Awesome!

Nothing beats Prayer as an opener :cool:

As for worst, I'd probably go for Lost Highway at present :)

Twist And Shout the worst - as played in Giants Stadium on Bounce tour (Aug 8 2003)

Livin' On A Prayer is also great as a opener - good idea to start the show with megahit but I think it works better as a closing song for the main set. In my opinion the worst usage of the song was on the Bounce tour (and on some concerts on OWN tour) - as a third or fourt song.

Next goo is One Wild Night - maybe because of the title.

See, I don't like the idea of Prayer as an opener at all, but that's just me.

Never liked prayer as an opener too much - for an opener you need a "bang " at the start. The Intro is too long before it starts going. Prayer is better at the end IMHO.

To elaborate on what I posted earlier, I think IML sets up perfectly as an opener.
-It starts with a bang
-It's an energy filled song
-Every person in the crowd knows it by heart
-It was a huge hit
-It's never been played in that spot before.
