Bon Jovi and their recorddeal.

Freely translated it comes to this:

'Although its not clear wich way Bon Jovi will go after Lost Highway its also unclear under wich label they will release their next studio-album, if any.
With only a compilation to do under their current deal and no signs of a new agreement it could be that with a greatest hits album it would mean the definite end of the 80's hair era'

I thought they signed this huge deal couple years back?

Wasn't it a 10 release deal back in 2000. Since then we've had

Crush
Crush DVD
OWN
Bounce
TLFR
TLFR DVD
100,000,000
HAND
LH
LH DVD

that would explain the crappy releases and the 'no-breaks' - maybe they just wanted to quit as soon as possible.
If signed in 2000 - 10 releases, they couldn't had done it much quicker as this.

Did they not sign a new record deal after HAND?

Are u crazy or what? They will realase something if they want, every record company wants them...

Any talk of them jacking it in is pure speculation, as there is no proof one way or the other.

In the LH DVD interviews they all say they're gonna carry on as long as they enjoy it...

They are more than capable to releasing something themselves if they wanted to...

but even still as TBoy stated... It really wouldnt be hard for Jovi to find themselves a new label...like it or not...there albums still sell shed loads and make serious money...no not as many as they used to....but still way to many for record companies to stick their noses up...

if they are out of contract (and i don't think dvd's count towards a record deal) they're quite capable of doing everything themselves if they wanted to.

it'll actually be quite interesting if we get to that situation and see whether jon's little speels about how the industry sucks the life out of you is genuine when he has the choice of doing it his way or getting a shitload of cash to whore himself to another label :-D
