Jon interview - New Zealand NZ TVNZ

Sorry if this has already been posted:

Some interesting things in this one.

1. He's asked if he would continue with the country music???? cringe now

2. 2.5 - 3 hr shows???? a slight exageration?

3. They will play songs from the 1st record to the most recent with such a catalogue of music???? then why all the covers?

Jon has been saying that they play for 2,5 to 3 hours ever since they started the 1995 tour while most shows lasted "only" 2 hours and 10 minutes.

It makes me remember the Jon Bon Jovi who said something like "hell, we might even play our first single at Hyde Park!" while giving an interview to an English reporter. The band had played Runaway constantly on that tour, and the only gem should could mention was Runaway.

Jon = full of shit and a walking marketing machine who contradicts himself with every statement he makes while trying to be really cool.

Yeah, that's what you get for being a fan for 10 years. You start to realize that not everything the frontman of one of your favourite bands is full of shit. Sad, isn't it?

Anyone else think that its really rude to talk to someone with sunglasses on? Maybe he is trying to hide the crows feet appearing!

Grypweed 01-28-2008 07:55 AM

That's all my Mum could say - how rude to talk with your sunglasses on.

On another note, the NZ media suck balls.

I seem to remember an interview in Japan 2006 when he said that they were planing on playing more from these days (like 'Hey God') but Richie hurt his arm. He then said that they might play those songs in europe. Apart from 'Dry County' which was great, it never happened.

I guess he has to big it up doesn't he.

Being a fan shouldnt stop anyone from being critical.

Calling someone a "contradicting marketing machine who's full of shit" is an attack on that person, slander even.
