guess the shows paid off.

In the old days - wasn't that the whole point of touring an album?

These days - the band (any band) doesn't make enough money from album sales but touring makes them a pile. The record company is the one benefitting here though.

I'd be willing to bet anything that a band like Bon Jovi is making a pretty penny from album sales aswell.

Maybe now after they signed a new contract they might be. There was a show in 2002 (I think) that had something to do with money and the music business. Jon stated at that time that they actually made 5 cents for every album sold. I taped the damn show but one of my kids taped over it and I have never seen it again. It would be interesting to hear again.

Wow! Shows what a tour can do. Imagine if they did more than 4 shows. I saw that LH was at #21 last week (the tour edition), quite a climb. Remember LH debuted and peaked initially at #5 here.

Awesome chart resurgence...

Who would have thought SWW could show up so high in the charts!!!

Hopefully this gets back to the band and they will realize they actually have fans here who wanna see them play more often then once every 10 years!!

yes but your forgetting that from albums comes singles, singles will be played on the radio and if i'm not mistaken they get paid every time a song is played on any legal radiostation world-wide. On the actual cd-sales there are so many parties benefitting. I know producing a CD costs only a few cts including all overheads and shit. Yet eventually they are sold with a few thousand % margin's on the actual product

Can I say that this is all slightly misleading. Lost Highway is selling for the regular price of $20, where all of the other CD's mentioned are on sale for only $9.99 each.

Notice the absence of Crush, Bounce and Hand?

This is because they are all $25 plus.

Still, if it gets more people into it, so much the better...................
