Joey Demo
I finally got to here the demo version of Joey and I gotta say:
Holy Shit, what an improvement! The piano line is more complex and flawless. It is naturally good and doesn't need the arrogance and pompousness of the cd version. And the harmonies---oh the sweet sweet harmonies. and solos the way they should be. I nice 5 minute Bon Jovi track. Alright. And while we're on the subject--Right Side of Wrong, amazing stuff on this demo as well More of a Bon Jovi flavor, less pop, more rock...fit the meaning of the lyrics (which changed for the better). And solos the way they were meant to be. The acoustic everyday was alright, nothin special. Really short and really fast with no real changes in the song. They need to figure out another acoustic with as much style and passion as I'd Die For You (Which btw, has their best harmonies ever :) "Into the fire we cry" oooh man, bring back that passion guys! I applaud the guys for trying to branch out and get a new flavor, so I am not really pissed cause I love Bounce, it is their 3rd or 4th best imho, but Bon Jovi needs production help, they need to learn to stick to their guns instead of just singing about it. Hell, just do it yourself next time guys, you know what you're doin! but to all those of you who say Bon Jovi lost it with Bounce and don't think they can get it back, these Demos and their live stuff should prove something more to you. they can to anything and everything in between. wow. Anyway just thrilled by the demos. They aren't flawless or anything but they are friggen awesome B |
I agree with you man... Sha na na na gets annoying though, I really don't like it. I have all of the demo's now and out of all, I like Undivided or One shall I say.. It is awesome!
BOUNCE, Ryan |
When I listened to the demo of Joey, I was instantly struck on how different it sounds from the album version, some of the lyrics are different too and as far as Im concerned its a dam better version than the album one. So far this, for me anyway, this is one of my fav demos.

Is the CD version more radio friendly?
|
Good question~ I do think the CD version is more radio-friendly, the piano and sha na na na gets old quick, and well, the cd version would be better for radio.

I also prefer the Demo versions of Joey & RSOW to the album versions! Really great!
kTF Joverl :) |
The demos are of a high quality with Bounce.

Well i'm going to have to disagree about the Joey Demo....to me the shalala bit sounds like Midnight in Chelsea......and I don't like that song!!
I like the album version of Joey....so its an easy choice for me |
I agree with Dan,it reminds me Midnight in Chelsea... But the piano part in the demo is better IMO !
|
I haven't listen to the Joey demo that much, but I have to say that the Right side of wrong demo isn't as good as the album version. Well the piano intro is much better then on the album and there are less strings BUT the whole solo is missing.
