If I'm not wrong that was a festival made to substitute Monsters Of Rock...
In '89 Donington gig wasn't organized because of the year before tragedy during Guns and roses show. (for the ones who don't know two kids found dead chocked by crowd)

I got the bootleg of that...it was a great show but if the track list on the cd is complete, a very short one. I remember only 9 tracks on the bootleg.
Top of the show Bon Jovi with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry playin Walk this way!

Rockfan27 05-11-2004 06:11 PM

I got a full show on my bootleg, and only 2 support artists played (little angels & Manic st preachers) so think you thinking of another show as no aerosmith stuff!!!!!!

My bootleg lifted from radio 1 broadcast, same with wembley 96

Bon Jovi have played the Milton Keynes Bowl in England 6 times

once in Aug 89 for one night with Skid Row, Vixen, Europe, Bon Jovi in that order

the 2nd time was for two nights in Sept 1993 with Little Angels, Manic Street Preachers, Billy Idol, Bon Jovi in that order

the 3rd was in Jul 1996 for two nights with unknown band, Joan Osborne, Bon Jovi in that order

the 4th was Jun 2001 for 1 night with (cant remember!) Bon Jovi

The 89 show was recorded for a radio 1 broadcast but they only played an hour of the show hence the short bootlegs available, I was at the all of the above shows and can say that the moment they brought out Steven and Joe from Aerosmith was really as Jon put it "a thrill of a lifetime!" the place went crazy.

The Sat night of the 1993 show was broadcast as a full live show and features there excellent version of the Beatles Help. very cool..

I hope this clears up some of the confusion

thanks

You're wrong.
You're talking about 1993...they did 2 shows at Milton Keynes with those opening acts.

Wembley 1996? Wrong.
They played 3 shows in 1995 and 2 in 2000 at Wembley stadium and several at Wembley arena years before but never in 1996.
In that year the played another gig at Milton keynes (or two? cant remember)
