Chris Daughtry Opens Up About Idol, Bon Jovi and His Grammy Noms
 

TV Guide: You covered Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead or Alive" on Idol — and now you're competing against them for a Grammy. How does that feel?

Daughtry: [Laughs] It's an honour to be in a class of people that you couldn't get away from on the radio growing up. Those guys are still in the game and it's an encouragement to us, in that maybe we can be that act people are listening to 20 years from now.

TV Guide: You're opening for them on their American tour. Any chance you and Jon will perform "Dead or Alive" together?

Daughtry: [Laughs] Oh, you bet your ass we will!

I don't see that happening, thought maybe it wouldn't be bad. Was listening to Wanted live from 1987 yesterday. Jon used to rock that song out. He really just phones it in now.
