Although I really would prefer they focused more on the setlists than the stage, they actually did a good job with this one (at least from the pics.)

yeah i seem to remember they did have moving screens....don't know if they moved this much though, more just up and down.

I didn't go in 2003 - but from what I remember seeing in photos, weren't the screens on like satllite dishes? Presumably they might have moved a bit then.

I know that I read about the screens that they used on the last tour, that they were very high quality ones (and they did look pretty good)

Yeah they used the satellite dishes for the arena shows. It was actually pretty cool.

These screens are really good. They can do lots of snazzy "tricks," but they are also really crisp and clear. The new stage allows for lots of movement and crowd interaction, and Jon & Richie both moved around a lot more than they did in when I saw them in Newark.

found a picture of the 2003 screens (at hydepark at least)...you can see that there are 3 making up that one big screen, i think they just moved up and down. i remember them being staggered at one point....

just not as complex as the new set up appears to be.

From those pics, the stage looks very U2-ish, which is not a bad thing!
