Most overrated show.

Aloha !

So, which show is the most overrated?

1. Bon Jovi - Wembley 1995
Yes, it's a good show, but later on that tour Bon Jovi played longer and better shows. Also, Jon's voice is slightly shot near the end of the show. Sure, there was Hey God and These Days, but many other shows from 1995 were longer, better and had a better flow, even without Dry County in them. Argentina and Johannesberg 1995 comes to mind, for example.

2. Bon Jovi - Yokohama 1996
A show many of you have on CD and maybe even on DVD, but yet the band has an off night and never really recovers. My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms goes wrong, Jon's voice is thin and there's no flow. The band looks tired, and again, there were many, many better shows from 1996. In fact, every show in Europe was better than Yokohama 1996.

3. Bon Jovi - Hyde Park 2003
Yes, the atmosphere was amazing, but Jon's voice was completely shot due to his hayfever, and recovered only near the end of the show. The show dragged on and on, and the band never really got into it, which is obvious when looking at the footage featured on the TLFR bonus DVD. Also, 2 hours and 45 minutes and only 1 song for the die hards? Again, there were many better shows in 2003, even some that were shorter but had a band that was on fire.

I'm not saying that these shows are bad, I'm saying that just because you were there at the time, or have a specific show on bootleg, doesn't make it the standard. So ladies and gentlemen, place your bets!

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

i was at hyde park and dont rate it as a show at all, everyone raves how good it was but not for me!

Im doubting against the two Wembley shows, as Seb said better show's too follow the 95 one and on the bootleg the songs kept out (other then BoB, Dry county) are not good enough (saturday night, BoR).

Yokohoma absolutely not, that show represent for a time when BJ still had balls (both high-notes as setlist wise)

But I'll go for Hyde Park as most overated one, as BJ were at that point overated theirselves. Plus the whole tour sucked (besides the semi-acoustic gigs)

I have Hyde Park on DVD, but I only watch the 6 performances in PRO Format.

People tell me I'm not missing much :)

Obviously it's Wembley because it doesn't have In These Arms, so it can't be that great.

It was a good show though.

I'm gonna go for Hyde Park. I wasn't too fond of the Bounce tour to begin with and that show - for all it's hype - just falls flat in my opinion.

As a matter of fact my favorite part of the Hyde Park show was Richie's spray painted jeans :D

Havent voted but love the sig! That is all:D

LOL I need the name of the boobs in the middle.

BTW, I'd go for Hyde Park as the most overrated show.
