Would you be willing to pay extra for a certain song?

Aloha !

If you needed to pay, let's say 10 dollar for a request, would you do it?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

No, purely because that takes the spontanaeity out of playing the song in the first place. A rare song being played is only good if it's unexpected, if you ask me.

Aloha !

So if you needed to pay 10 bucks extra for your ticket but would get Dry County at the show in return you wouldn't do it?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Nope. I really don't see any excitement in seeing a rare song played live when you're expecting it.

I did see Dry County at a show, for no extra amount.

No. I do think that is one of the worst responses ever though. :)

I think this is a great question.

Hmmm..It really depends on the song I guess. I think...would I pay 10 bucks extra with the promise of a rare(ish) song being played but had no prior knowledge to which one? Yah, I'd say so. If I'm paying upwards of 100 bucks for a show, another 10 won't cripple me.

I've said it before, I've never walked out of a show saying "god I wish they played rarer stuff". I've said "Man they weren't feeling it tonight" but...well you get what I mean.

how is it a great question? not disrespecting the poster
but **** me - why would you want to pay extra for an already extortionate day out?
if you want to listen to a certain song - take your Ipod and put it on when they play WSYCGH !!!

This is kind of the way I feel. But on the other hand, I do pay a lot of money to go to the Twickenham-shows, merely because I'm pretty certain that the shows will include on or two true rarities, and therefore be excellent. So I'm a bit torn I guess.

Don't give the band ideas. You can all to easily imagine a text competition for one song to be chosen at £3 a text.

Or a £10,000 sidestage experience with a choice of three songs...
