Tour line-up

Hey, i'm new and i just wondered if anyone knew the band line-up for the UK tour this summer, in particular the coventry/manchester shows.

If it's the same as usual, as in the HAND tour, with just the boys, then i would love to go, but with all this talk about the country theme and messing around, i thought they might incude the violin player and the second keyboard player (i don't mind extra guitarists so much :D), and if they do, then i don't want to go, so i wondered if you could give me a heads-up.

On the HAND Tour they had an extra keyboard player and an extra guitarist.

In 2007 they had a violinist, a steel guitarist and the extra guitarist.

Now there's seven of them, 'cause they've dropped the steel guitarist.

I'm predicting we'd get the extra keyboardist, Bobby Bandiera and Lorenza (Violininst).

I don't mind them in this tour. But I'm hoping the band goes back to just 5 of them next Tour.

Why why why would you not go simply because two extra musicians have been added since 2006? I don't understand this at all

I said i don't mind extra guitarists of any description, and i don't think they had an extra keyboard player on the HAND tour, because i went and didn't see one.

I have mixed feelings about the violinist, since it means they might try and change the songs like i heard about them doing at the Prudential.

The reason i might not want to see them if they had the violinist is again because they might try and change/countrify some of the songs, which might ruin them a bit IMO.

Well there's a good 50 users on this board who went and saw one, so I don't think you would mind a few other band members either. You wouldn't see them anyway.

I heard Blood on Blood and Id Die for You in Toronto and you could barely hear the violin at all. Now apparently at the pru it was bad (From youtube) but I think they've toned it down, in fact at times she isnt even out there.

So you're just going on what people are saying, you haven't even seen any footage?

I really doubt that the presence of a violin on 2 or 3 of the older songs is going to ruin the entire show for you

And why is an extra keyboard player worse than an extra guitarist?

If you're actually a type of 'fan' who would not go to a concert out of principle that there were additional musicians on the stage, and that on a select few songs you might hear a violin low in the mix (bar maybe one or two songs out of a 24 song set where there may be a 30secong violin 'solo' - oh no!) then thats just sad.

Get over it. Its not like their replacing the talkbox with bagpipes, and Davids playing Xylophone the whole set is it?
