On the 2003 one there he really screams out 'DAMNED' in the chorus but sings the next part of the line lower, but now he seems to be able to handle the whole thing a little better. I'll be curious to see if they play it again too.

Yep, I noticed the "damned" more harsh in 2003. Plus, I voted for 2008 because all of them, especially Richie, seem more into it.

Twas superb in 08, just OK in 03. IMO.

Voted for 2008. Just a better performance all around (and for reasons everyone else already mentioned)

2008. I don't know what Jon did but his vocals are a lot, lot better than previous tours.

2008, though I liked the way he got around the vocals for 2003, and the way he sung, "It's getting harder holdin on but I can't let you go" was cool, I can't deny that 2008 it's a better all around performance.
The soundchecks served them good, in the 2003 performance it was like they just listened to the song and said, "ok everybody knows how it goes, let's play it".

I'm babbling now, sorry.

i like the 2008 version way better, didnt think it would sound so good, he even went for the higher notes in the chorus rather than singing it lower like in 2003....great performance, like it was mentioned earlier, his voice is alot better than the last few tours!

2008! Jon really sounds good! I really hope for some more these days songs in hamburg and helsinki!

2008. Jon's strained very slightly on the chorus but otherwise he's superb. Richie and Dave were playing very well in that peformance too.
