hometownboy 04-13-2008 02:13 AM

i also like it , motley crue are definately back!

eddie73 04-13-2008 10:12 AM

The more i hear it the better it gets.Mr JBJ this is how to Rock, please return to it.

Goldsausage 04-13-2008 01:44 PM

Man I've been playing this on my iPod all night, I really like it.

I hope it's just a single edit though, it's not long enough for me!

Dave 1986 04-13-2008 03:52 PM

Gets better everytime I hear it aswell! Kind of a Sick Love Song-feel mixed with Shout At The Devil and Wild Side. Basically classic Crüe but modernised. Nice!

I wasn't at that bothered about a new Crüe album (depsite the fact that they're probably my favourite band), but Saints Of Los Angeles really gets my hopes up!

Captain Walrus 04-13-2008 04:16 PM

Oooooh, I like! Bit simplistic perhaps, but nice and sleazy and rocking to go with it!

Goldsausage 04-13-2008 10:24 PM

It's one of this songs that I listen to real loud with car windows down and crusin' round the town sharing the masterpiece with all fellow pedestrians.

Too bad I don't drive.

Hehe, I was doing that about half hour ago.

Emil 04-14-2008 12:34 PM

I will have to listen to this first thing when I get off work. So is this the first single from the forthcoming album or what?

Lord of the Jovi Realm 04-14-2008 02:43 PM

ehhhhh, it's another Crue song, nothing great
For me Vince's 2 1/2 step vocal range and nasally tone just kill most Crue tunes.
Nikki's Sixx A.M. project is @26.4 million times better than any Motley album for me :)
Dave

danfan 04-14-2008 02:53 PM

Sounds pretty good.

Is Tommy still with them or did he leave again?

It's not confirmed that it'll be the first single, but it's definately a new track from their new album The Dirt.

There were rumours last Autumn that he'd left and then rejoined, but according to other sources he never left the band (this time) to begin with. Either way, it's Tommy Lee on that track.

Goldsausage 04-14-2008 06:37 PM

I read somewhere that Saints Of Los Angeles will be the first single.

But then again, I think the same article said the upcoming album was also named Saints Of Los Angeles.

Meh, I'll see if I can find it.

Goldsausage 04-14-2008 06:39 PM

Found it.

"It's been more than a decade, but all four original members of Mötley Crüe are back together in full force. 'Saints of Los Angeles' is the title track and lead single off the notorious rock band's new album due this Summer. With its powerhouse hook, the track aims to prove that the gang is still on top of its game, rocking harder than ever." - spinner.com

steel_horse75 04-14-2008 06:45 PM

how do you get it from youtube to your ipod?

Goldsausage 04-14-2008 06:55 PM

www.vixy.net

It can be a bugger most of the time though.

Goldsausage 04-14-2008 07:04 PM

Nikki Sixx confirms completion of album:

Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx has issued the following update:

"The album's done, the video's done, the artwork is done, the photo sessions are all wrapped up and the single is ready to go to radio, rehearsals start tomorrow; wow……it’s been so busy, it feels like I’m leaving a few things out….and I probably am.

"I know a lot of you have heard 'Saints Of Los Angeles' on the web….if you like the single, just wait 'til you see the video.

"OK, my eyes are red, and its a rare night to not have to work,so im gonna sit back and feel good about all the hard work. I hope you all like it as much as we do."

steel_horse75 04-14-2008 07:14 PM

release date?

i heard June 2nd or 9th?

Emil 04-14-2008 07:58 PM

Good. Very good. I know there were rumours of Bob Rock producing. Does anybody know if he is?

Dave 1986 04-16-2008 02:23 AM

Well now the new album is also titled Saints Of Los Angeles.

Is there any real danger that can go wrong? How much stuff have you gotten from there? Have you ever had a problem?

Goldsausage 04-16-2008 06:38 PM

There's no danger at all. The only problems I've had with it is that it takes a few go's to work. Like sometimes it converts it and then when you download the file it's like a 2 second clip and you have to keep on doing it again until it works.

steel_horse75 04-16-2008 07:17 PM

New Crue album out on 16/6 - cant ****ing wait !!!

YES! Good. I always thought Saints Of Los Angeles would be a better album title than The Dirt.

Emil 04-17-2008 05:48 PM

Here it's performed live at the Jimmy Kimmel show:

A lot of other guys suddenly appear towards the end of the performance, so I guess it's these guys:
Quote:

"The disc (Saints Of Los Angeles), due in stores June 17, will feature the album's title track and leadoff single, which includes backup vocals from Buckcherry's Josh Todd, Papa Roach's Jacoby Shaddix, Sixx:A.M.'s James Michael and Trapt's Chris Brown."
Anyway, good to see The Crue back in action.

slippery89 04-17-2008 10:42 PM

That's not Tommy Lee right? they just kept showing his back no face shots...

hometownboy 04-17-2008 10:50 PM

yeah it is , if you watch the press conference it's really clear it's him

Emil 04-17-2008 11:32 PM

Oh yeah, that's classic Tommy Lee manners behind the drums. Here is the video by the way:

Cool stuff. Man, I miss Whisky A Go Go and all the other great clubs on Sunset. :)

yomamasofat 04-18-2008 02:10 AM

I can't wait for this album. Hope it does really well.

RSROCKS 04-19-2008 08:18 AM

What's so great about the song? It sounds like everything else they've ever done.

JerseyboyUK 04-19-2008 10:20 AM

Agreed, its ****ing rubbish. Horribly cliche and identical to anything they've put out for years. And the video gets worse at the end when Josh Todd and Jacoby Shaddix pop up, talentless wankers and frontmen for two of the WORST live bands iv ever seen.

Motley Crue are a cartoon act, nothing more than a marketing brand these days. They had one truely great album (the stripped back raw aggression of thier debut 'Too Fast For Love') and everything since that has stunk of record-company cock-sucking pop-bullshit.

Like Def Leppard, it's time Motley Crue were put on the shelf before they proceed to piss anymore on any greatness they had.

Just out of curiosity, if records like Shout At The Devil and Dr. Feelgood stink of "record-company cock-sucking pop-bullshit", how do you reckon that albums like Crush, Bounce, Have A Nice Day and Lost Highway smell?

Kattitude 04-19-2008 03:07 PM

Jesus that was complete crap.. what a whiny voice he has. Perhaps they should of stayed gone.

Bon Jovi can put out pop records like the ones you mentioned (and every other album in thier back catalogue) because they are (and always have been) a pop act.

Crue are supposed to be (and still believe themselves to be) this no-bullshit hard rock band, when actually they've been selling themselves out since 1985.
