Aloha !
This is the third time Noel's announced that he's quit Oasis, and every time it's the last time. He even commented on it a year ago that Gem and Andy don't take it took seriously either. If Liam really is to blame, why is it always Noel who takes a walk? Liam might not be the most intelligent one of the two brothers, but he almost never talks shit about his brother, while Noel all the time gives Liam slack about pretty much anything. Oh well, they'll probably be back within 2 years. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
I'd give it 6 months (when they're a bit skint)

Hopefully Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris carry on.

Aloha !
Looks like it's a bit more definitive than usual, but still I've got my doubts that it'll stay this way. I'm surprised he talks about the band members not supporting him, and it merely looks like Noel Gallagher got tired of being in Oasis. As is usual the case when a tour is at it's end. Dearly beloved, it is with a heavy heart and a sad face that I say this to you this morning. As of last Friday the 28th August, I have been forced to leave the Manchester rock'n'roll pop group Oasis. The details are not important and of too great a number to list. But I feel you have the right to know that the level of verbal and violent intimidation towards me, my family, friends and comrades has become intolerable. And the lack of support and understanding from my management and band mates has left me with no other option than to get me cape and seek pastures new. I would like firstly to offer my apologies to them kids in Paris who'd paid money and waited all day to see us only to be let down AGAIN by the band. Apologies are probably not enough, I know, but I'm afraid it's all I've got. While I'm on the subject, I'd like to say to the good people of V Festival that experienced the same thing. Again, I can only apologise - although I don't know why, it was nothing to do with me. I was match fit and ready to be brilliant. Alas, other people in the group weren't up to it. In closing I would like to thank all the Oasis fans, all over the world. The last 18 years have been truly, truly amazing (and I hate that word, but today is the one time I'll deem it appropriate). A dream come true. I take with me glorious memories. Now, if you'll excuse me I have a family and a football team to indulge. I'll see you somewhere down the road. It's been a ****in' pleasure. Thanks very much. Goodbye. NG. I still feel it's a bit silly of him to leave the tour before the final 3 dates or something were done. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
It's just silly in general in my opinion. He and Liam don't get on. Who cares? Fair enough a band is better when united but in my opinion they have never really liked each other from the start and have seemed to manage. I realise tension builds and builds to a point where things can get bad but he's walked out with three dates left, and he will make a solo album, no doubt, which won't be as popular and will get people clamouring for a reunion.

He doesn't need the money and if Liam is being a total prick constantly, why would he stay? It's a shame, Oasis were a huge part of my teenage years and I always kind of thought they'd just keep going and going till they dropped dead but alas no. I'm just glad I managed to see them live a bunch of times especially on this tour. Love or hate their music, when they're on form they really are one of the greatest bands in the world. |
This news made my weekend, one of the most overhyped bands in the world...
Please let it be over!!!! |
It's funny that so many people who hate them are overjoyed that they split up and it was even 'the best news of the week/news made their weekend.'
Maybe you care too much? |
