We can debate good ideas till the cows come home. The best idea would've been if they'd both kept their pants zipped. From a religious perspective, while I recognize the insincerity of it, I'd rather see a shotgun wedding than an abortion, and at least this way they'll make a go of trying to do it right.

Perfectly happy? Not exactly. How many times do I have to say I think John McCain should be tried for capital treason? That's exactly how BAD I think BHO would be for our country, that I'd willingly vote for someone who voted to take away my right to type any of this.

in fact someone with 5 kids in the so called party of family values going for such a demanding and time consuming job is an example of living breathing irony.

Again, just goes to show how bad I think BHO is, that I'd endorse someone I hate so much for President, and a poor parent for VP.

And hey, liberals don't have a problem with marital infidelity in the White House, so what possible difference can poor parenting make?

voting for someone you regard as a traitor one of the most undemocratic exercises i can think of.

Adrian 09-02-2008 02:47 AM

Yeah, I'll just sit back and do nothing while someone EVEN WORSE takes the Presidency. Or perhaps I can vote for a third party that will garner 42,000 votes, 40,000 of them from their relatives and friends.

That'll sure help me lots.

Adrian, intolerant and deragatory comments cannot be turned into jokes. There is nothing funny about your comments and they are highly distasteful. No matter how many times you call them 'jokes' or 'sarcasm'.

As a woman, mother, and democrat, I am highly offended by your comments and the fact that you'd even attempt to make a joke out of them exemplifies your ignorance and intolerance and your true character!!

would you ask that same question if Palin was male?

I don't think her parenting skills have any relevance to her job as VP. Last time I checked, running a government office does not mean running a daycare .....

Ironice it is indeed though...

I think you missed Adrians post about him loving the freedom of this country like nobody else ....

I'm with Maria here - I'm so offended that I haven't even posted in this thread recently (except to thank Jim for at least going to Snopes and pushing the bullshit button). I really don't know where to start so I'll just thank Maria.

Until you are a parent, this one is hard to relate too. Kids have a mind of their own. You can only do the best you can and hope they take the right path in life. You can't honestly think that this has anything to do with her ability to run a country.

Talk about setting the feminist movement back..way back. I agree with Spunky. If she were a he the question would have never been posed.

I am glad to see Obama defending her since people are now starting rumors about her not being the mother of her son. That crap is just nonsense.

Adrian does bring up a good point. You don't see people blogging about how Hilary was a doormat while her husband screwed everything in sight. Bill Clinton was really a great role model for his kid. Yet many consider him a fantastic president. You can't piss on one side without pissing on the other.

In the end it is the persons ability to run the country that matters. Not who is screwing who and who is pregnant and blah..blah..blah.

None of us have any right NOT to be offended. That said, I think you and Kathleen's sarcasm meters need calibration. My trading quips with Jim, who I think you once called something like the "resident bullshit stirrer" is not something that "exemplifies my true character." But hey, I've got no right to NOT be offended either. I'm just not.

My goodness, those words in my mouth, they do not taste like mine...you WOULD be hard pressed to find many people that believe in the same definition of freedom as I do, that's true. Doesn't mean I profess to love my country more or better than anyone else.
