There was an article in 'The Metro' today talking about Jon Bon Jovi. The headline was 'Bon Jovi keeps faith in Duffy' explaining how Jon loves the song Mercy by Duffy and that he even sang the chorus a couple of times during the band's show in Munich. The first line in the article? 'Big-haired rocker Jon Bon Jovi...' Okay, the band and in particular Jon are well know for having big hair in the 80's, but it's simply not true anymore except for David possibly. Jon has quite short hair now. When will they be noticed for something other than big hair, for example, their great music? Is it just not possible?

It's because his big hair and pink spandex are his legacy.

I think it's a part of their legacy, but I do think when all's said and done they'll be remembered for more than the hair band stuff.

Their hair is hardly short. But it's not "big" either. Watching Ultimate Albums: SWW last night, kinda made me wish it was still those days. I wasn't even born when that album was made, but you know what I mean...

People do live in the past though, sometimes people will say to me something about BJ...and make it obvious they know nothing about them since those days.

They should be known for their music, damnit, not their hair and clothes.

Bono had a ridiculous mullet at one stage, yet it is never ever mentioned as U2 are more or less critics darlings. Theres just certain things that the media latch on to, and once the stigma is attached there is NO getting away from it as the media just rehash and churn the same garbage out all the time. If you say something enough times, people believe it.
