Anyone seen this?

In case you can't find what you're looking for, this guys says that Jovi stole the song MAN, I REALLY LOVE THIS TEAM (aka I LOVE THIS TOWN) from him. |
Interesting. Personally I couldn't hear any similarities that would constitute plagiarism but that's just judging from that video snippet.
I'm trying immensely hard not to let my hatred for everything this guy and his song stand for interfere in my review of the situation...
Ok, I honestly don't think the band stole his song, mainly because I Love This Town is basically full of Bon Jovi cliches, and it seems to clearly be about Jon's little love affair with Nashville. That being said, the theme of the two songs is similar. As far as MLB/TBS, I guess it's possible that they could have first planned to use his song, but I doubt it. Everything about this seems circumstantial at best. For example, the time aspect could be that the video was originally cut to his song, however the MUCH MORE LIKELY scenario is that they simply edited down ILTT so as not to have over 4 minute commercials/promos. Then again, I guess anything's possible. |
wow interesting.....anyone know where to listen to the original....cant really believe there is any real intent behind it.....
I guess, Jon being the intelligent business man that he is, he wouldn't do something like that without ... ah ... tying up all the loose ends first? (and by that I mean pay the guy off, because he would know that it would come out sooner or later)
Give me a break this guy is just trying to get a buck off of the band.
This reminds me of a thread I started. The band does need external writers :P
He might as well say they stole Wild in The Streets too..since it's just pretty much an updated version of that in my opinion. What a joker
Did anyone else find this be sadly hilarious?
"Instead, he stewed in his condo, plotting revenge against, of all people, Jon Bon Jovi." |
