Does anybody know whose song the "American Girl" song played at Humburg show?

It's a great song by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers

I've never heard that song but checked the lyric. The story is about an American girl who had a broken heart.

The Goo Goo Dolls do a great cover of American Girl. It's a fabulous song, love it!
As Jon is a huge fan of TP and the HB's I am suprised he hasn't covered one of their songs long before now. But it's a start! Very cool!

The band covered "I Won't Back Down" A LOT on the HAND tour.
The Goo Goo Dolls did do a good version.
