Anyone Going Southampton

Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone else is going to the southampton gig? I wanted to go twickers but I am in new york at the time :(

Anyways what does everyone think this gig will be like? Will it be good as there are a couple of days off on either side of the show and it does not look like there will be much of a support act. Or do you think it will be a bon jovi by numbers?

Take it easy

I'm going to Southampton! I'm hoping it'll be good - I thoroughly enjoyed the show there last time, but it was probably helped by being almost close enough to touch Jon at one point!;) I'm not too bothered about the support band. I thought Nickelback were boring and I preferred the local band last time - but that's just me!

I'm going with my wife and 3 friends. I'm hoping for a better set than last time but the performance was good in 2006. Hopefully because of the break they'll pull out all the stops but I reckon it'll be an average set because its one of the smaller venues. Plus I dont think its selling that good but I think thats down to having no real support group. To be honest I'm a bit pissed about that. We pay the same as everywhere else but only get a local band doing a 15 minute set. BJ better come on at 6 then and play till 11 lol.

Yep, Im treating my mum to this one as she had to put up with my Jovi madness at home for many years!

Yep i'm going. I agree about it hopefully being an 'anything goes tonight' gig as Jon says what with there being at least a day either side free for them. Looking forward to it, not been to Southampton before. What's it like in general there, anybody know?

And now I've got 2 more tickets for this show cause I won with Ocean FM this morning. Havent a clue what sort of tickets they are tho as the woman I spoke to didnt know. Hopefully they'll be gold circle but I'm betting they're regular seating in the nosebleeds.

My hometown, I will be there. I am hoping they use this gig as a springboard for the UK tour. There are tickets left at most venues so a good performance may sell more tickets.

The fact they have no show the day before or the day after will also help I think.

I want 24-25 songs and I want:

Always
Bed of roses
Hey god
These days
Blaze of glory
Blood on blood
Wild is the wind

Am I asking for too much... We will see.

I have just checked the weather, we may have rain!!!
