Lay Your Hands On Me v I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
It seems as if Lay Your Hands On Me is really underplayed, and Sleep When I'm Dead is really overplayed. Anyway, which song do you like more? I prefer Lay Your Hands On Me, just think it's better! :)

If we're comparing studio versions I like Lay Your Hands a little better ... and a couple of months ago I would have definitely preferred it live (Could never understand why Sleep had to be played every god damn night). But Sleep has been revived by some cool medleys lately. I guess I'd still probably go with LYHOM because of the rarity factor.

No competition! Lay Your Hands On Me kicks ass! One of Jovi's greatest and rockiest songs IMO.

I agree with Savvi.
LYHOM = One of the best damn rock songs ever. And the guitar riff is one of the proudest moments in the history of rock & roll. LYHOM was at its best on the NJ tour when they opened with it. Jon used to jump onto the stage through a hatchet in the middle of the stage. That was magic. Richie once said in an interiview that they wrote it in 2 and a half hours. |
I'm one who really likes the studio version of LYHOM but live, even back on the NJ tour, never thought it packed the same punch. Just doesn't do it for me. I'd rather hear Sleep with the covers.

Aloha !
I'll Sleep When I'm Dead with the covers. If it's without the covers, it's Lay Your Hands On Me, even without the punch. Salaam Aleikum, Sebastiaan |
The 08 versions of LYHOM sound so slow, wheres Sleep with the new melody songs sounds fresher than it did last tour. I actually prefer Sleep as an studio version too, think LYHOM is a touch overrated. Doesnt do a great deal for me to be honest.
