Pucked - Jon's movie

What a complete piece of garbage. Picked it up at Wal-Mart for $5.00. It is beyond horrible. Shut it off after 30 minutes. Didn't laugh once. I've always respected Jon for being a decent actor and for the roles he's chosen. He was just so bad in this. He was trying to act like Jon Bon Jovi, but be a complete loser at the same time.

Stick to your day job Jon.

It is a bad film. I think towards the end Jon is better, like in the court room scenes. Jon has even called it a piece of shit so.......It was filmed in my hometown in Greensboro, NC.

I don't know if I can get to the end. It's painful watching Jon wasted in a role like that.

I think Jon did a decent job for the role he had. That is not saying much however, because the movie wasn't exactly emmy worthy(at all, no matter who was cast.)

Jon and Dave Faustino had some decent chemistry as far as character interaction went, and the best part was definitely the court scene.(Cary Elwes is hillarious)

The idea behind the movie was good, I think the script was just........bad.

Anyways, I can't see Jon ending his acting on a crappy movie like this. Maybe not anytime soon, but I could see him doing another movie just so he doesnt have to end on a low note.

I agree with you. Though Jon said in the Q interview that he was even taking his agents calls. He sounds fairly disillusioned with the whole acting thing right now.

Ya, but you never know. They take a break after this tour, Jon might start answering the calls

really crappy movie. major disappointment. I will probably never watch it again. once was enough.

Grypweed 06-08-2008 08:19 AM

I watched it twice :( Agree that the court scene was pretty good, but overall it's definitely one of the worst movies ever.

Never been a fan of Jon's acting though.

Yeah, I kinda hope he stays away from it. Jon doesn't need to try and be Frank Sinatra. Jon just needs to be Bon Jovi, and by that I mean make music.

Haven't seen Pucked. Not sure if I want to. But I really liked The Leading Man, Row Your Boat and Little City. Thought he was pretty good in Cry_Wolf (although I basically hate every other character in that movie so...), Moonlight & Valentino (even though it was a sucky movie), and Pay It Forward too. Some of his last few role/movies have been pretty shit but I wouldn't mind him trying the acting game again when the band has a bit of a break. He's good when he's not trying to be funny.
