Twickenham ticket disgrace
a rant coming
i got an email back in November saying I can buy my Bon Jovi tickets for 27/06/ ahead of the public by using a special code - that code was "summertime". i have now recieved my tickets only to find that i am quite a way back from the stage. yet my mate who orederd tickets a day later using the code i gave him is practically a few feet away from the stage. how on earth does this work out? im a loyal fan, booked in advance and get shit seats - i rang up ticketmaster to complain and they couldnt give a **** as they have my money. I even offered to pay extra to upgrade - they wernt interested at all. annoyingly if i were to book 2 tickets again (i did a dummy booking y'day) i could get higer up in the middle tier and closer to the stage. i just dont understand how this can be? i feel well and truly ripped off. i wont be "booking in advance" again. |
and to add to that, more GC tickets were available yesterday!!

if you buy seating tickets you're basically at the mercy of the automated system...
i looked into buying art garfunkel tickets a while ago in the royal concert hall in glasgow and they had me up in the gods right at the side of the stage. not exactly the best place to be sonically speaking. i tried again the other day and got row G on the arena floor... |

Bottom line is this - don't feel pressured into using these pre-sales as a lot of the time you find that it's the 'non-premium' seats that are being sold first. I know that's been the case with the Queen pre-sale for their tour in October. I used their pre-sale link and secured seats in Level 4 at the O2! Hardly worth the effort! |
All I will say is they do tell you what seats you've been allocated before you book. It isn't difficult to check a seating chart.

It was so long ago that I can't recall. I know it was AEG live who were handling the bookings...are they the same as Ticketmaster? |

Ticketmaster do give you the seat location before you book, See Tickets on the other hand, at the start of sales, did not and you only find out in your order history later on.
Thats why at Manchester see put me in Block 222, but when I looked on TM a few hours later, the same price were in block 202 a much better location. |

For example, people who bought tickets sold as part of the Queen fan club presale won't find out what block and seats they've been allocated untill September. The best way to avoid confusion with seating? Go for standing instead :D |
I've had the same experience with manchester ordered 5 tix straight away could only get ga obviously wanted gc but none left only to find out more gc standing tix have gone on sale this last fortnight and i ain't happy the same thing happend last tour at hampden park.
