Where's Lumpy?
 

For anybody not in the know, Chris 'Lumpy' Hoffschneider is Richie's guitar technician.........

Where has he gone? In Southampton at least it was this youngish oriental looking fella doing Richie's stuff and running on stage on more than one occasion to tidy up.......guess he's just getting used to it maybe.......has Lumpy left for good?

Yes, Lumpy retired after the HAND tour.

oh that sucks! I was very disappointed not seeing him in Hamburg. That guys is coolness incorporated.

In Munich 2006, there was this girl in the front row, she goes to all possible shows, I am sure some of you, especially Germans, know her, and she shouted:

"Lumpy, do you remember me?"

And Lumpy said:
"Yes, you're a bitch!"

That's one of my most vivid memories of any Bon Jovi show I have so far seen.

I've always wondered why they never cleaned the talkbox after Lumpy had soundchecked the thing. Richie surely most've gotten a taste of Lumpy every now and then?

That's a bit crap about him retiring, he was the typical cool, bearded, smoking roadie. Shame.
